I'm willing to bet the barn that there is absolutely NO evidence of Laci's limbs being sawed or cut off with a tool. That girl was weighted down pure and simple. Peterson has a lot of cement he cannot account for PLUS some anchors he can't account for PLUS some weights he bought (has the receipt) but can't account for where they are. In fact I heard Wecht say with my very own ears that in his opinion she was held down by weights and that the perp did not expect the body to EVER surface. In fact he went on to say rather emphatically, "THAT body was NEVER supposed to surface"!! And now that he has examined the body for the defense, the Prosecution can now play that video clip for the Jury to rebutt anything he would now say to the contrary.

Nettie I know where your coming from. I think we are all still stinging over that Simpson Jury. However, I have to remind myself that THAT was a very unusual jury. That really was a bozo jury and in fact they had decided their verdict before the trial even took place. I know CA has more whacko's per square inch than most places but Modesto and some of the smaller cities are more sensible. The Prosecution just needs to be very careful in selecting a Jury of real common sense people who have probably decent employment and are family types. But all that said, I know what you mean, I worry about CA juries too. I just keep reminding myself that OJ was an aberration!! AND it was in downtown LA!!

No, I wouldn't forget any of my SCOWS, Lynn! I've been away because of some problems w/my 16 year old daughter and last week a tragedy...my Uncle was killed by a comuter train. I will look up the story and post it for you all.

That's a good point. While I don't see how the prosecution could ever use Geragos' previous bloviating against HIM (b/c Geragos will not be a witness), I think you're right in that they could easily bring forth and get admitted Wecht's prior statements about this case. But I imagine Wecht would say, "I made that statement before I saw the remains. I now think differently." These expert types are good at weasel words, always.

Nancy Grace said that any and all of the statements of these Forensic Scientists CAN be used at trial if they say anything different on the stand. Even Chris Pixley agreed. Wouldn't a live video clip of their adamant statements be powerful? If they said something different for money, I would think the Jury would catch on real fast that the testimony they were listening to was bought!!

I agree Lynn! Thinking back on all of Lee's appearances, towards the end of his last several, (since Defense team asked him aboard) he seemed to be twisting all of the leaks in favor of Snott...it was obvious to me that he would be accepting a big check for his opinion on the stand!
