There are some major disturbances in the eastern interconnection, due to the outages. Frequency rose on the system, indicating a large loss of load has been lost. It was felt in Tennessee, and by several utilities, though no outages are reported here. Fox says NYC, Detroit, Ottawa, and Toronto have taken the brunt of it. I'll talk to work again and see if I can get some updates on the situation.

Well if all the interconnection ties work properly then they should be able to contain it to some region.... They may have to drop some load to stabilize the system.... Many power plants will have tripped off most likely... It may take some time to bring them back online....
