Whatever happened to her? She was hot back in the 80s on DALLAS.

Is she doing dinner theatre now or is she doing a gig in Branson?

I'll never forget when Oral Roberts stated that he would die if he didn't reach a certain goal of donations. All I could think was how he was going to be shown for the fraud that he was when the day came and the goal wasn't met. And, he actually wasn't going to meet the goal. Then, along comes some millionaire a-hole and gives him the money. The guy stated that he wasn't a supporter of Oral's but was just giving him the money so that it could, supposedly, be used for charity and so that Oral wouldn't have to die in order for the prediction to come true.

Beats me, but as you said about her 'Dallas' days(when girls stoped being 'icky' to me ;-), I had to do a quick Google search. That shot was on the first page, and since I'm watching the Michigan 400, those checkers kinda inspired me. ;-)

A Dallas trivia tidbit...

On the front of the movie "The Graduate", most people assume that the leg on the front cover with Dustin Hoffman is that of Anne Bancroft. However, this is not the leg of Miss Bancroft... it is the leg of a model who at that time was not well known. This model was Linda Gray.

If that's still current, God bless her, and I'll give her something to gossip about if you also have her phone number.

She was on Animal Planet a few weeks ago, looking every bit as hot as her Dallas days.

Gene Scott is a "entertainer" of sorts, a side show barker extraordinaire.

Somehow this Svengali of the airwaves is able to convince people to send him money.

From the Tulsa World

Robert Tilton: From downfall to windfall: Living on a prayer

By ZIVA BRANSTETTER World Projects Editor

Under construction
Work continues on a home being built by Robert Tilton’s company, Venetian Way Holdings Inc., at 1350 S. Venetian Way on the island front of Biscayne Bay in Miami Beach, Fla. Building permits, which list Tilton as the owner, have been issued for a two-story home with a tile roof, pool, spa and terraced deck.

Bottom: Robert Tilton’s company, Venetian Way Holdings Inc., purchased this lot in 2001 for $1.39 million. Tilton is building a two-story home on the property, records show.

Tilton's ministry reaching out again, raking in millions

More than 10 years after his ministry collapsed in scandal, Robert Tilton is reaching millions of television viewers with his pitches for money, living comfortably in south Florida and maintaining a connection with Tulsa.

Far from shrinking into obscurity, Tilton is reaping millions from his mailing list and daily shows on Black Entertainment Television. He has formed two companies, bought a 50-foot yacht and purchased a $1.3 million piece of oceanfront property in Miami Beach through his company, records show.

And although Tilton's downfall began when prayer requests sent to him were thrown away in Tulsa trash Dumpsters, prayer requests sent to his Tulsa post office box two years ago were apparently still being discarded. A woman who spent two days opening mail to Tilton told the Tulsa World that she and other workers were instructed to remove the cash and checks and throw away the letters and prayer requests written to Tilton................

You want creepy, here in the Triangle the Church of Yaweh ben Yaweh (sp?) have bought weekly half-hour blocs on public access. Do a google search on this group, if you know nothing about them. Tilton et al are jokes compared to these rapists and murderers...who are black, and so blessed by the official air waves.

Dr. Gene Scott.

I get a certain guilty, twisted pleasure out of watching his show from time to time (usually after I've had a few or can't sleep). Kinda like when I blew up the neighbor's mailbox when I was a kid; I knew I really shouldn't be doing this, but it was too much damn fun to stop.

I suppose I'll get heat for this remark, but, what the heck...

I know Christians. I grew up in a Christian family. I've met dozens of missionaries and traveled much of the world and seen many of them in action. Most of my extended family are missionaries and they come in nearly every evangelical stripe imaginable. So, as I say, I feel fairly comfortable that I know Christians.

Unfortunately, in general, I find that Christians don't know themselves, their self-deceit or their faith. In order for charlatans like Tilton to exist, it takes a complete ignorance of the self, Biblical standards and faith tenets, and a deficient understanding of human nature to accept or defend such trash.

Not knowing one shred of the personal behavior of their chosen evangelist, they rush to his defense like Monday morning quarterbacks analyzing their team's loss the night before. Of course, shrewd judges of character can also be castigated by the same lack of personal knowledge, but to their credit they are not hampered by team loyalties and are free to call 'em as they see 'em.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - people like Bill Clinton and other forthright scumbags will have an easier day if judgement is eternal than these blood-sucking imposters. These creatures are the kind of animals that rape the elderly and steal from Alzheimer's patients in nursing homes.

A pox on Tilton and all like him.

That was something about the whole Jim Bakker fiasco. After his downfall, there were still people defending him and his lavish lifestyle. The kicker was they were ordinary-looking people. Of course, there were the elderly in amongst the crowd. And, not coincidentally, they didn't lose any money on the Bakkers. However, I could not get over people, who profess to love Jesus and everything He taught, supporting such a scumbag. I can guarantee you if one of their kids was to cheat them out of money, they would disown them. However, just let someone like the Bakkers do it to a lot of people, and they fall in line like obedient sheep. It is the same with that perpetual fountain, Swaggart.

Amazingly, there are some ignorant FReepers who may even consider Tilton as merely a "proto-typical" Evangelical or "born-again" minister...

Thank God you aren't one of them.
