Maybe I missed something, but I didn't draw the conclusion that the janitor was homosexual. I got the impression that he was beaten up by a couple of fags to send a message to the pastor of the church and the janitor just happened to be there.

Sounds like the peace-loving homos attacked the janitor to get back at the pastor. The Plain Dealer leans to the left and didn't want to mention it.

Almost like Islam isn't it?

Tolerate us, or get a beating.

"when the janitor told them the pastor wasn't around, they settled for beating up the (probably-not-a-homosexual)janitor instead"

That was how I read it.

"it is very frightening to me"

As it should be. They (meaning the liberals/socialists) have already either censored or "politically corrected" many great works of literature. They have raped our society and mocked our sacred traditions. They have murdered millions of innocents without a thought for the consequences. They have turned their attention to the corruption of our children and the removal of God from the public eye. It is not a stretch to think they will be working to outlaw the Bible. It is the one bastion of truth that stands impervious to their onslaught of decadence.

As for the words used to describe them, I refuse to use words that will dignify what they do. I will not call them "gay" because that is a word they have hijacked and made ugly, not to mention the fact that it is a misnomer. I don't believe they are in any way "gay" in the real sense of the word. I believe they are some of the most wretched and miserable creatures on earth. What they do is ugly and perverse, so I have no problem with using ugly words to highlight that fact. Calling them homosexuals, deviants and perverts is about the extent to which I can sanitize the words I use to describe them, and all the more as their militant, in your face demands for acceptance of the unacceptable and normalization of the abnormal mushroom and contaminate every part of our cultural discourse. Yes, God loves the sinner, but God hates the sin. God uses shame to bring sinners to repentance. We are talking about people who are proud of their sin, who wallow in it and want to spread it around and involve others in it. We are talking about individuals, many of whom God has given over to a reprobate mind. They will never turn back to Him. I'm not saying that is true of all homosexuals, but for those of whom it is true, they are a cancer on our land and our society and will destroy us as surely as Sodom was destroyed. If we would truly show them God's love, we would not in any way accept them in their sin, but always call them to repentence and warn them of the wages of their sin. "Tolerance" of their "lifestyle" is the ultimate hate crime because we see them on their way to hell and fail to warn them. Most people wouldn't think twice before warning someone who was about to step out in front of a fast moving vehicle because we would recognize the threat to the person's life and want to avert them from the danger, and yet we often seem to fail to grasp that an individual's eternal life is of even greater import, and yet somehow we hesitate to sound the warning, preferring to make them comfortable in their sin.

Your link doesn't cite this study "Same-Sex Sexual Behavior and Psychiatric Disorders" nor does it come up in a search. Can you provide a link that works?

Fags I said, and fags I mean. Fag is a kind word; I could call them very nasty things, yet I refrain.

Tks for the ping. What, they're beating Xtians now?

A long time ago (two years), I got sneered at on Salon "TableTalk" for predicting that the gay-rights movement would try to shut "non-reconciling" Christians up in their churches, and persecute them. I was told that I spake drivel, and was sowing fear and loathing in an attempt to stir up homophobia. Notwithstanding that "homophobia" is a clinical condition and strictly defined, except by people who use it as a smear.

"If they don't preach tolerance, they are preaching violence," Harris said.

Colombian narcos have used a similar dichotomy: "silver or lead".

FWIW, I am reading a lot about attacks on people, specifically gays, who claim they have been attacked by a homophobic bigot. The common thread is there are never any witnesses.

I'm a tad skeptical.

Thanks for posting the full article. I followed the original link to the Cleveland Plain Dealer and was asked for personal profiling info as the price of entry -- I declined and backed out.

More and more mainsleaze sites are doing that stuff -- careful when you go on Netscape. If you sign up for a Netscape premium service, like Netscape/AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), your privacy will be laid out like a laboratory frog. Word to the wise. Amazon, same deal -- they pioneered it. Amazon is also executing deals to erect similar sites with the same capabilities for other businesses on "powered by Amazon" sites, e.g. Target/Marshall Field.

I do not get from your post of the article that the janitor is gay. The attackers, however, may have been, and they appear manifestly to have been angry about the pastoral message and criticism of the Episcopalians for consecrating a unrepentant practicing gay.

So...these perps are gay...and they beat someone up who is not gay because of something someone else said.

Couldn't be a hate crime, now could it?

Oh yeah---the queenie pointed out that to do anything other than fully accept the queers' agenda is to be preaching violence.

I've complied a database of bogus "hate crime" stories with links. Some gay, some black, some Muslim. Wanna see?

There's an entire website in Texas devoted to the subject.

http://www.texashatecrime.com/fake_hate_crimes_true_stories.htm

Or you could Google the words "hate crime hoax."

LANCASTER, S.C. -- The Associated Press reports Regan Wolf, a South Carolina lesbian who reported being the victim of two horrific incidents of anti-gay violence, stands accused by Lancaster County authorities of faking her own beating.

Police say a friend of Wolf's, whose name was not released, approached authorities with an accusation that Wolf paid him $50 to beat her. The witness said Wolf promised him $350 for his participation in the hoax.

According to Hugh Munn, spokesman for the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division, the pair went to Wal-Mart and bought gloves, a belt and spray paint. They returned to Wolf's home where "she laid across the bed and he took a double wide belt and whacked her across her back," he said.

News of the attack garnered headlines across the country. Wolf reported she was knocked unconscious and tied spread-eagled on her porch above the spray-painted message, "Jesus weren't born for you, ****** ." Munn told reporters forensic experts who consulted photographs taken of Wolf's injuries reported they were "consistent with her being a willing participant."

http://www.academia.org/campus_reports/2001/oct_2001_5.html

A gay student at The College of New Jersey, Edward Drago, was arrested on August 20th after admitting to campus police that he was responsible for a string of anti-gay messages and death threats delivered to himself and to a gay student group during the previous year, and that he had falsified reports of these crimes to authorities.

The threats had spawned a semester-long focus on "hate crimes" at the state-funded school and resulted in the expenditure of taxpayer dollars and student activity fees for additional security provisions and to fund events meant to instill greater tolerance in the student body.

"I feel deeply offended and I am very much concerned about my own safety here on the campus," Drago told the campus newspaper last February after he claimed to have found the first in a series of personally directed threats. "This event has added additional pressure to my daily life."

The message was written on a flyer for The Haven, a support group for homosexuals that Drago co-founded in the fall of 2000. One side of the flyer read "Die ****** " while the other side contained a drawing of a swastika and stated "Beware."

Over the next few months, during the winter and spring of 2001, Drago reported receiving several other threatening messages, all of which made reference to his homosexuality. A second message stated "Hey [Drago] get rid of security you f-ing ****** ! Stay away" and pictured an inverted triangle, a common symbol of the pro-gay movement.

Yet another message featured both an inverted triangle and a swastika and read "[Drago] The bomb was for starters. Die," referring to a small explosive device that had been found on campus and was later determined to be unrelated to the Drago case.

"I am afraid to walk in certain places and be by myself at times," Drago stated after the message referring to the bomb was found under the door of the Gay Union at Trenton State at The College of New Jersey (GUTS) office, an organization that Drago served as treasurer.

"I have no idea who in the world this individual or individuals are," the apparent victim added. "Because of these incidents, my personal life and privacy has been invaded and I do feel threatened." Campus police and outside agencies opened investigations into the threats and doubled their security patrols around Drago's dorm.

Reports of the threats provoked a spirited response from college administrators and students who threw themselves behind various measures intended to increase tolerance for homosexuality on the campus and ensure the safety of all students and especially Drago.

The gay union announced a sidewalk chalking session and set up tables in the student center to pass out pink felt triangles for students to wear "in support and solidarity." Other events prompted by the threats included two "Safe Zone Socials," a candlelight vigil, a "day of silence to combat homophobia" and a teach-in about discrimination.

Classes were cancelled on the afternoon of the teach-in so that all students would be able to attend. Signs placed around campus in dorms and academic buildings read, "SAFE ZONE -- This space respects all people regardless of sexual orientation, ethnic background, age, ability, and gender." The signs were colored pink and pictured an inverted triangle with a circle around it, a symbol of the gay community.

Individuals on campus did not hesitate to provide support. One professor even offered to let Drago stay in her home, fearing that his safety was threatened in the dorms. When Drago stood up at an anti-hate rally and declared to the world and his unknown nemesis, "I'm not scared of you. Come and get me," many openly admired his courage.

The rash of threats also resulted in many additional expenditures at the public college including $4,297 provided by the Student Finance Board to GUTS for pro-gay t-shirts, buttons, catering, and extra security requested for Drago's dorm ...

Drago's role as instigator of the threats made against himself was only discovered in late August when, according to Drago, he was "called in by the police for routine questioning and confessed because I felt it was the right thing to do."

Attributing his actions to instability and mixed emotions about his homosexuality, Drago claims that his conscience ultimately led him to confess that he was the sole perpetrator of the attacks on himself and GUTS ...

Drago has been charged with a felony for filing false police reports, and has also been charged with harassment because he sent threatening letters not only to himself but also to the gay student organization, GUTS. He has been suspended from the college until both campus and local judicial proceedings are terminated, and he does not expect to re-enroll at TCNJ.

Wonder if Harris applies this principle to himself and others who promote the gay agenda. After all turnabout is fair game. If the gay agenda does not preach tolerance of orthodox Christianity, they are preaching violence.
