Evil may have its moments; but the sting of death has been defeated by the Redeemer. The real victory is not earthly. The Apostle Paul's victory was winning some Romans to Christ and being faithful unto death. Eternal life is the issue for the Christian. The only evidence I have heard of abuse by the husband is gossip. I have no respect men who hit women; but is there something besides hearsay to go on? (My wife and I have agreed not to delay the inevitable if either of us are in a permanent vegetative state. And we love each other very much.)

People have come out of comas after many years. There was a case a few years ago of an American Indian woman who had been in a coma since giving birth to a son. And she came out of the coma when the son was about sixteen. (The husband had remarried, but he and the family rallied around the woman for support.)
The family credited prayer to the Blessed Takeri Tekakwitha, the Indian woman martyr.
(By the way, I'm NOT Roman Catholic, but the story of that family really moved me.)

Terri update.
Ignore if the subject bores you.
Please understand that a lot of people with no vested interest, are deeply concerned about this womans continued existance.

In this particular case, and any others similar, you are a fool. Was it my request that "God be with Terri" that offended you?

People who have been in comas, and who later came out of them, told stories of being able to hear and understand the people who stood over their bedsides. They knew when someone was praying for them at their bedside. They say they're grateful for the prayers, that they helped in their recovery.
One case I remember, the woman said she knew she had to come out of her coma because she heard the people at her bedside talking about giving away her kids for adoption. So she knew she had to come out of that coma so she could take care of her own kids.

This is not nice to say, but I wish Mike Schiavo would have a very bad accident. He is an evil person.
Father Malanoski should continue his visits, even if he has to do it covertly.
Reminds me of the Underground Church, behind the Iron Curtain, or Ireland under Cromwell, when priests would have to be very creative in finding ways to administer the Sacraments to their flock.
Hey, Father M.--how about a set of scrubs, face mask, ID badge...I know someone in FL who can fix you up!

The state sponsored murder(homicide with intent to kill) is taking place as this woman has committed no crime. Only the criminal element of our society receives sympathy from court, counsel and the public. It is quite simple in America 2003 A.D.

Ah, but you miss the point. Mr. Schindler is a good Catholic and could NEVER do that. But apparently boy Schiavo is not and will stop at nothing to make Terri die.Yes you are correct. The world has quite enough violence especially what has been witnessed today.
Still I hold foul wishes for her husband and his attorneys.

Was it my request that "God be with Terri" that offended you? Was that the sentence I posted? In addition to being a fool, you are an idiot. That is about as nice as I can say it.

Terri is not in coma.
She was severely brain damaged by an unexplained incident.
Her legal spouse has been working the courts for years to euthanise her, over her parents objections.
She is now, once again, under a court ordered sentence to die, of starvation.
This is not a DNR case.
She has been physically harmed by degrees legally by the court system, and her "husband" who has a new common law wife and child.
This is a cruel and inhuman public execution, of a woman innocent of any crime, by order of a activist court.
God have mercy on us all,if we allow this to happen.

This is too sad. TO disparage this priest in order to get one's wife to die.....how horrible. Prayers sent.
To: Mind-numbed Robot
In addition to being a fool, you are an idiot. I'll pray for Terri (and you, as you seem full of hate)

Thanks for the prayers, Drango.
FReepers: Terri needs all the prayers she can get.
Does anyone here have the ear of Gov. Jeb Bush? This state-sanctioned murder must be prevented!
