To be a conservative, above all else, is to believe in the founding ideals of America. It is more of a way of life than an ideology. It is based on the idea that America's purpose is to provide an evironment for the american people to live their lives, raise their children, worship God, and practice their culture....with as little interference from distant centers of authority as is possible.

Wouldn't it be nice if, in addition to all the non-ideological Suzy Creamcheese stuff, we could also: keep people from hijacking airliners to fly into the WTC and the Pentagon; kill those who need killing on their own turf where THEIR families are exposed instead of ours; understand in, well, Biblical terms, that we ARE our brother's keeper, even if he does not live immediately next door; and that folks like those who kill 15 Israeli Orthodox Jews and 5 American Orthodox Jews (mostly children BTW) by a homicide bombing of a bus by a 29-year-old high school teacher playing Muhammed el Rootie Kazootie with a beanie and plastic spinner on top, and those who encourage him, need to be separated permanently, spectacularly, humiliatingly, from this earthly existence and not rewarded with more Israeli land, as one of many examples in the world? As to empire, you couldn't pay me to accept Palestine as a free gift or most of the rest of the ratholes in question, but the world is a far better place without Uday and Qucay and it will be a far beter place still without Chemical Ali, Saddam Hussein and Yassir Arafat.
