"Which cases? What foreign arguments? I wasn't aware of this."

Foreign courts and court cases were cited in both the Texas sodomy and Michigan affirmative action decisions.

Subsequently, while addressing the American Constitutional Society (the lib equivalent of the Federalist Society), Justice Ginsburg bragged extensively on this aspect of those decisions. She voiced her intention that SCOTUS should use its postion to increasingly bring American law under the sway of "international standards".

Well, I can't say "after reading that, I am more opposed to her presence on the High Court than ever," since I couldn't possibly be more opposed than I already was.

"since I couldn't possibly be more opposed than I already was."

Previously, my view of Ginsburg was that she was just a boilerplate liberal vote on the court, something that had to be endured until age or infirmity forced her out.

But, after reading her address to the American Constitutional Society, I am convinced that she is mortally dangerous. This reliance on foreign courts and subjecting the Constitution to "international standards" is utterly appalling.

Her retirement can't come too soon for me.

By the by, and definitely relavant to the subject, our very own constitutional lawyer, Congressman BillyBob, has announced his candidacy for Congress. Could you plink your magic pinger to the thread linked above?

'Twould be appreciated. As would a new tagline, see below, as an expression of support until September 15.

Thanks.
