Ambrose! Stop being so delusional. If McClintock's voters had any kind of numbers, Kalifornia would not be in the mess they are in. Gee, it's like a guy named Swartz trying to run for a PLO assembly seat.

We are witnessing the breakdown of the stereotypical 'holier than thou' moralist Republican.

This stereotype has been used by Dims to lure young voters and indoctrinate them. The Republicans, always led by older men, let this happen and perpetuated it.

This is a good thing for the party. No more 'intolerance' issue.

.... I still believe you are that person.

I believe I saw this, as you did, and was going to comment similarly before I read your post.

I would hope you have more sense than to actually think "saying McClintock can't win" in any way approaches the level of damage a post and thread like this could cause.

This thread is causing damage? Man, you're weird.

We're going to be accused of hypocrisy in a way that resonates with a lot of voters out there for on the one hand criticizing Bill Clinton for his many failings, then a few years later jumping wholeheartedly on the Arnold bandwagon.

Somebody pass this man a cigar! Exactly. I was having a good day with (R)nold, he seemed sincere on Hannity, but the jury is still out on him fiscally.

I know most of you are big (R)nold fans and I'm not, and that is fine. This article doesn't make me dislike him, its just kind of saddens me, and yes of course its from the DNC. I just strongly caution you in your zealousy to make excuses for it or think its ok. It won't get much play, probably, let us not speak of this article again.

But please, for the love of God and all that is good, rationalizing this will lose the moral superiority of the GOP we built with W and frying Clinton. Be more careful.

I mean, what did he expect when he started running?

Did I miss something? Is Schwarzenegger complaining?

I didn't think so.

The poor bleeder (Churchillbluff) ain't even from California..........

Arnold is far from perfect but far better than Bustamante. McClintock is closer to my beliefs but unattainable this time around.

After hearing Sean Hannity's interview with Arnold, and now reading this article, I am about to conclude that the characters Arnold plays in his movies are rooted in his own character. I like his unflinching directness. He seems to have decided that he will run as who and what he is--and let the chips fall where they may. He's definitely got my vote.

"He claims to have voted for 187 in '94, then states in 2002 that illegals should be entitled to free education. This goes to honesty and credibility."

Prop 187 merely attempted to prevent Cali from having to pay for the education of illegal aliens. That does not prevent the feds from paying for it, it's their problem after all.

You couldn't be more welcome.

I admitted I can't prove it, but I can't remove my own observations from my mind either, even if I can't prove them now.

It's probably a good thing you hadn't already voted for Simon! LOL! Seriously, aren't you going to wait until closer to the election to see what else develops?

Funny how Freepers looked at old "hijinks" with less generosity when it was Clinton's background we were talking about.

Except that Clinton's behavior continued and he smeared anyone who tried to expose it.

Of course, you do have a point, if folks already like Arnold, they are less likely to be swayed by something like this. I assume that you are not a fan of Arnold's candidacy and/or you have another person you'd rather see in office. You probably won't be swayed either.

I'm waiting for the dirt on Gary Coleman, so I can ignore it and defend him!

Good observation. It explains why many politicians are silent on such issues.
