"Arnold will raise YOUR TAXES. Has he signed the no tax hikes pledge? He will tell you it's an emergency -- AND EVERY ONE OF YOU ARNOLDITES DESERVE TO HAVE YOUR TAXES RAISED."

It is widely accepted by rationally thinking people that California cannot bear a conservative governor nor a conservative government.

By Conservative, this refers to the traditional concept of "Right-Wing" conservativism to include Judeo-Christian values as the core of it's existence.

"Right-Wing" Conservatism is under attack even among so-called "conservatives" and would certainly fail as a central theme by any candidate running for office in the state of California.

The "Leftist-Socialist" leaders that have been in control of California have led the people of that state into such an abysmal state of economic and moral affairs that now even so called "Liberals" are now begging for change - but not one with morality as the center of it's core.

That brings us to only one possible winning option other than the existing status quo of the "Liberal-Socialist" club now deeply entrenched in Sacramento.

That brings us to the only other candidate who can win the governship of California - the "Middle-Of-The-Road" Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger. No other candidate even resembling conservativism can possibly win in California.

This is not compromise - it is the nature of the beast with which we are dealing. To deny this is to admit victory for the Democrats for many, many years to come (possibly forever where California is concerned).

What?

Not concerned about Arnold's desire to see the American peon even further disarmed?

I'm sure he himself will either have a firearm or have hired thugs with them protecting him and his family.

(and plenty of Republicans disagreed with the impeachment because they knew the liberal press would twist it to make Republicans look petty and vengeful... which is exactly what happened)

Which is an admission of defeat without a battle. The liberal press is going to smear Republicans whether they do anything meaningful or not...even if they have to make shit up.

The PROPER response is to go farther right, not to become some sort of French surrender-monkey and move left.

Man, this whole recall thing is giving me 1992-vintage Bush-Perot flashbacks!

Bush-Keyes, Bush-Buchanan.

Take your pick.

Please!!! Arnold is not the perfect candidate, nor is he a perfect conservative, but I wouldn't throw away an election to the left just because I wanted to vote for the ideal conservative. Elections are ALWAYS a vote between the lesser of two evils. There is no third party in this election because Tom has ZERO chance of winning.

Arnold is a liberal not a conservative.

It is not a choice but between one conservative
who can win but has problems and an ideal
conservative who cannot.

Its between a socialist a liberal and a conservative.

Arnold has a few times campaigned for Republicans
only a few and als campaigned for Ted Kennedy in 1994
when it looked he was in trouble.

Friedman is like the one guy with decent views
around Arnold in swamp of socialist and big government
advisers.
I am not sure Friedman really with it these days.

I don't think Arnold's even called himself a supply sider
even.

Most those Republicans I doubt said anything
about being "ashamed" of the Republicans for impeaching
Clinton.

Arnold has a degree in ecomics from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Even though he didn't study at the University of Chicago under the world's greatest economist Fredrick Hayek like Milton did, he still is a Classical Liberal. In other words, he is a fiscal conservative.

Here's what Arnold said on Milton Feidman's "Free to Choose" series. Milton and Rose Friedman's Free to Choose TV series has changed my life.

I came from Austria, a socialistic country where government controlled the economy. A place where you can hear 18-year-old kids talking about their pensions. I wanted more. I wanted to be the best. I had to come to America. I had no money in my pocket, but here I had the freedom to get it. I have been able to parlay my muscles into a big movie career.

Okay, so there I was, waiting for Maria to get ready for a game of mixed doubles tennis. I started flipping the television dial. I caught a glimpse of Nobel Prize winning economist Milton Friedman whom I recognized from my studies in economics. I didn't know I was watching Free to Choose. It knocked me out. Dr. Friedman validated everything I ever thought about the way the economy works.

I became a big pain in the neck about Free to Choose. All my friends and acquaintances got tapes as well as books for Christmas after Christmas. If I had come up with Free to Choose, maybe I wouldn't have got into body building. --Arnold Schwarzenegger

Your site is better than the joinarnold one, which has been the same for a few weeks

Arnold's website finally really came on line last night. It still has a couple glitches, like you can't get back here from there and it's still a mystery how to use the credit card contribution page; but there's a lot more stuff and lots of extra pages.

www.joinarnold

Here's what Arnold said on Milton Feidman's "Free to Choose" series

This is a fantastic quote! I almost ordered the tape myself to find out what he said on it :-)

Do you have a source for that we can point to??? Thanks!

Then you guys should stop saying he is not.

Arnold is openly pro-abortion, pro-gay rights,
and gun control.

He pushed a government expansion program last year.

His main advisers are dominated by guys like Warren
Buffet and Pete Wilson who are for more taxes and
spending.

Arnold is a liberal not a conservative. I'm a liberal, a classical liberal. That puts me to the right of most conservatives.

I've seen you around the threads enough to know you've seen the rest... about his fiscal conservativism, anti-socialism, pro-prayer in school, anti-legalization of drugs, anti-partial birth abortion, pro-parental consent for minors, anti-gay marriage, anti-illegal immigration, anti-taxes, pro-government cuts, anti-bureaucracy strangling businesses, pro-gun control only so far as banning assault weapons and supporting the Brady Bill...

Calling him a liberal makes you look uninformed or deceitful.

I'm a liberal, a classical liberal.

I know what you mean and agree... that is not how the anti-Arnold posters mean it, however, when they use the description against him :-(

His fiscal conservatism does not carry water
when his advisers are advocates for higher taxes
and spending like Buffet and Wilson esp.
how dependent he will be on his advisers.

He has been back and forth on illegal immigration.

He says he is against partial birth abortion,
but so says Clintons, but would he sign a ban
that was real or veto any real ban. No one running
for office ever says they are for partial birth abortion.
Easy to say now anyone since it is banned at Federal level.

Prayer in school, he says he is for it, so says Clinton,
but would he support Congress passing a bill to take
away federal court's jurdiction over such cases
so it can be allowed in public schools.

So an so forth. He wants to put up Clinton like
cloke to get elected.

Arnold is running just like Clinton.

Intelligent debating style... you are taking facts and statements, assuming the opposite is true, and then asserting THAT as fact.

You're ignoring the truth about him because you simply DON'T LIKE IT and, God willing, Arnold will get the chance to prove you wrong when he is in office.
