Ah, yes, Kenneth Cole, and the unborn child equated to a fashion accessory with his cheeky ad's which stated:

"Isn’t it a woman’s right to choose? After all she’s the one carrying it”

I decided long ago, Kenneth Cole was not a brand I would purchase.

Cole has been entangled in politics since he married former New York Gov. Mario Cuomo's daughter Maria in 1987 and became part of the Cuomo-Kennedy-Schwarzenegger family tree.

You mean the guy actually found someone to be his "beard."

A weekend or two before 9-11, Kenneth Cole had an insert in the Sunday L. A. Times (and I assume other Sunday papers around the country). It was one of those big glossy foldouts. Pitures of their models on some "anytown street", except the streets weren't named 'Main Street' or 'Maple Drive'. The sign at the intersection said 'Bush Road' and 'Cheney Drive'. On one of the streets there was a "Dead End" sign and on the other there was something like "Danger: Hazard Ahead".

It really ticked me off and I made a note to write to the company, but life being what it is, I put it off.

Of course, with the attacks of 9-11, I was reminded of that ugly advert, and promptly sent off an emial to KC. I received the lamest reply about how they weren't trying to offend anyone and they weren't trying to be political.
