I've been doing a little reading on this Federal Judge. Don't get too choked up -- I'm not really liking what I'm finding, plus he's a Clinton nominee: Nominated by William J. Clinton on January 7, 1997, to a seat vacated by John H. Moore; Confirmed by the Senate on September 26, 1997, and received commission on September 29, 1997.

OK, I won't. He already has smut associated with him if he's a Clinton buddy. The only good thing might be that he might view the evidence from a point of view differently than Judge Greed (no, it's an intentional typo). Keep praying! Thanks, Kimmie!

It's like a horror movie.

Some of the threads I have read indicate some suspicion that she may have been strangled.

As to previous abuse by the husband, I haven't seen anything definitive.

All in all, a tragic case.

I read a lot of Christian fiction. Finished one last month called "Duty to Die" -- I feel as though I'm reading it again. It was a good read, but I'm not likin' seeing that kind of stuff in real life.

Thank you both for making this information available (I think). It's heartwrenching! Could we expect the affidavits to show up in the media?

These affidavits confirm the unspeakable nightmare in which this young woman has been living. Most horrifying is that the information related is that which was blatantly revealed 'in the light of day'. God only knows what's been transpiring in secret.

Terri's responses and interaction, as described by the caretakers, was even more substantial than I would have imagined. Imagine what she must be thinking, [IF] only in the most elementary way! May God protect this trapped woman until there's a way found to save her.

Prayers for Terri.

I'm doing my best but I could use some help to get this in the media and to the highest officials, and to as many people as possible. I'm sure that this is a Federal crime (after all Terri is a United States Citizen) what Michael has been doing.

"As to previous abuse by the husband, I haven't seen anything definitive"

Robert Schindler and the family attorney, Patricia Anderson, were both on the Barbara Simpson Program aired on KSFO Radio, San Francisco yesterday.

Ms. Anderson told of x-rays that were taken when Terri was initially taken to the hospital as a result of the mysterious trauma she suffered. The x-rays revealed healed but untreated bone fractures to her back, leg and ribs. As I recall, Anderson said it was medical opinion that the untreated leg fracture resulted in a ball-like growth on the bone.

The Schindler attorney attempted to use the x-rays as an issue relative to the fitness of her husband to be Terri's guardian. She said [dishonorable] judge Greer refused to except the x-rays as evidence of spousal violence.

Ms. Anderson said the Schindler family has long since exhausted their financial ability to afford her, and that she herself has little business to sustain her practice, given the tremendous attention she has given the matter over the years. There is a local printer whom she said is so outraged about the cruelty inflected on Terri Schindler Schiavo that he decided to do all of the legal brief printing and copying without charge.

Simply stated, the system has financially strapped their ability to protect Terri.

I know that legal research, brief writing, and filing costs can eat you out of all you own, and so far they've been stringing this out on their own.

I say this our fight. Terri's inability to get the kind of medical treatment is, in reality, a gauntlet thrown at the feet of every American.

If a court can be as capricious as the Greer court has been, and will abuse it's life and death authority (it shouldn't have) as to how, when and where a man, woman or child will or will not receive medical care, we have crossed an un-American threshold where government decides all things.

Florida Bishops Reject 'Euthanasia' in Terri Schiavo Case

Below are portions of the article written for CNSNews.com by their Congressional Bureau Chief, Jeff Johnson, 29 August 2003

The bishops of the conference had been criticized for their initial lack of comment on the matter, which they left to Terri's local bishop, Robert N. Lynch. In an October 15, 2002, statement, Lynch had said that the church would "refrain from passing judgment on the actions of anyone in this tragic moment." But in an August 12, 2003, statement, Lynch reversed course.

"I strongly recommend that...Terri's family be allowed to attempt a medical protocol which they feel would improve her condition," Lynch wrote in a two-and-a-half-page .

The outcry against the remainder of Lynch's colleagues intensified August 25, when they issued a clemency request to Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on behalf of Paul Hill, who has been sentenced to die Sept. 3 for the shotgun murders of an abortionist and his driver.

[Comment: Compare the weak and evasive comments given thus far about Terri's fight for life, with their vigorous demand that Governor Bush act to spare a convicted killer Paul Hill].

Pamela Hennessy, volunteer media coordinator for Terri's family, wrote to the executive director of the conference as soon as she learned of the bishops' public stand on Hill's scheduled execution.

"I respectfully request that you convey to the Florida bishops that, if all life is truly sacred, their defense of a convicted killer coupled with their disinterest in the life of a disabled and innocent woman is beyond offensive," Hennessy wrote. "I know that Floridians of all denominations would readily agree with me."

Although they do not acknowledge Hennessy's letter or the ensuing media coverage and public outcry [spelled : FreeRepublic.com], the bishops issued their statement just two days later.

I neglected to include the link. Sorry.
