FR showed me that one person can make a difference, and helped inspire me to make 2 really cool hot air balloons and go out and try to make a difference.

Free Republic sends me a friendly quarterly reminder to refill the meds. It's a blessing.

It has enabled me to find a diverse community of like-minded people in which to explore the challenges of our day and enhance our mutual self-esteem.

Translation: I am now completely sunk into the addiction of reading and writing and spelling badly with the rest of the lovely bunch of (coca)nuts here, as we try to live up to the nearly impossible standard set by Rudyard Kipling in his immortal poem If... And keep our heads while those about us are losing theirs and blaming it on us!

I found this place during the Florida Fiasco, drifted away, and rushed back after 9/11, since then I've never left. A comfort in hard times this place is. And I've gotten a good answer to every question, on any topic, that I've ever asked.

God Bless Free Republic and God Bless America.

Free Republic has made my vegetable garden a mess of weeds, tall grass and dead plants. Free Republic has added 10 pounds to my gut. Free Republic has left my kids growing up without a Daddy. Free Republic has left my desk at work a loose pile of papers, un-met deadlines, and half completed projects.

But I do so LOVE it here!!!! ;-)

I casually mentioned on another thread a few months back that a bolt came out of my lawn mower. This Freeper told me to Freep mail him my address and a few days later, the bolt arrived in the mail.

Strange.

On an unrelated note, I had $25,000 in small bills that fell out of my car the other day. I'm willing to freepmail my address to anyone who can replace it for me.

Free Republic makes my heart pound in anticipation and not out of fear. Free Republic reminds me that there are like minded sane people on this earth and the left does not rule the world. Free Republic makes me laugh, has introduced me to numerous new friends, has expanded my brain cells in a very positive manner. Thanks FR for being there for all of us.

uh, I have to run out to Staples for more copy paper, but they'll be there as soon as I can get them printed. Are $1 bills ok? Just don't be picky about the serial numbers alright? If this is a rush job, we can't be changing all them.

It's taught me all about cheese and mooses (meece?)

It's taught me when I should be series, and when I should be more relaxed.

It's taught me a hugh amount about everyday life.

But most importantly, it made me aware of the Viking Kittens!

FReepers should not be modest. There are a lot of people here who do a lot (A LOT) of good things, a lot of good work, and a lot of good in general. It is not a stretch to say that FR has helped put (and keep) the pressure on the Dems and the media, and FR is at least partially responsible for the GOP White House, Congress, Governors, and State Houses.

So, in a macro sense, FR has helped mankind in general :)
