Could be worse.

We could have been Gere's gerbils.

Now now, the poor guy has his brain fried by pot, give him a break. Besides, at least he's left the U.S. if he was living in California AND calling us mean things then you could really hate him : )

My friend met him in the 80's when he was on 21 Jumpstreet. He was a self-important buttnapkin then too. Sounds like since he's picked up a french companion, he's gotten even worse.

That said, I could care less about Depp's thoughts on politics. I'm supposed to think a man who cares so little for the mother of his children to keep her as a "companion" really cares about the US and it's people? I'm guessing he won't have to worry about his children's opinion of the US when they mature, he'll have his hands full dealing with the repercussions of the "companion" lifestyle he's raising them in. Of course, I'm sure although he'll spend little time in this country, he'll find some way to blame what they become on the US and its citizens.

Thus from the man who partied so hard with his "Vegan" friend River Phoenix that his friend died!

Yeah sumbag Johnny is in zero position to comment on how life should be lived or how a nation should manage its affairs.

He never once commented negativly on the Al Qeda killing 3,000 of my fellow country men.

Too bad Johhny Deep's office was not on the 80th floor of the WTC.

Now if Donald Rumsfeld or Condelessa Rice were to critique the Bush Administration, I would stop in my tracks and listen with every cell of my being. But Johnny Depp? Who cares? He is not an informed insider who is responsible for making life and death decisions that effect all of us. He is just blathering to hear himself talk. And those who do listen to him are just as ignorant as he is. What a dolt. His poor children are obviously going to be intellectually challenged when they enter school.

PS

Perhaps America would be a lot smarter if actors such as deep did not make gratuitously violent films for cash and prizes!

Have any of you seen ads for the absolutley s-t-u-p-i-d film he is coming out with filmed in Mexico?

I will admit I loved him in the movie "Blow". For the simple reason that whole movie showed the true results of being a drug dealer. The guy Depp protrayed was so strung out that he was imagining conversations with his daughter at the end of the show. At one point and time in the movie this dude had a house literally full of money, and in the end, he wanted what mattered most... family.. And I think that Johnny Depp probably knew a little too much about the drug life to just be acting. For anyone who wants to see the true ugly side of drug dealing, rent that movie and you will cheer at the end, justice does prevail in a weird way.

Ok, another one on the boycott list. It's too bad, he's a decent actor.

It's ironic that so many blame the US (and often our entertainment industry) for the decline of western civilization, but anytime an entertainer spouts off about something like this, they take it as gospel.

What to you get when you combine Depp, Baldwin, Sarandon, the DCs, Robbins and Hanks? Nearly a full brain. Nearly.

The man is a hypocrite and an idiot...He was quoted as saying when his kids get older he will smoke pot with them. If you believe aspiring to have your kids smoke a controlled illegal substance with you is the same as having a drink with them....well, then you my sir have your own problems to work out. The effects that either have on a person is not the issue and I believe you know that. In fact, I happen to agree that pot should not be illegal but that is another issue. As well, it is interesting that this Dip-Shi* can make a statement like that and then in the same breath call America a dumb puppy. If he was true to his convictions and really believed America to be so evil and terrible then he should not take her money, stay in France and shove some cheese down his throat until he chokes on it....HE IS AN ASSSSSSSHOOOOLLLLEEEEE.

No, no, no you all got it wrong. Capt. Jack Sparrow is the real person here. This Johnny Depp character is what someone retrieved from the cutting room floor, and probably should have left it there.
