I always suspect those who show up right in the middle of a hot battle and start heaping abuse on conservatives, shilling for the most liberal positions, calling conservatives RINOs, idiots, etc., all the while proclaiming what wonderful conservatives they are. Funny how some of them seem to know the ropes so well, too.

I've received more verbal abuse in the past month on FR from Schwarzenegger supporters than I did the whole first 3 years I was here put together on every other issue combined...and I'm not the only one.

Arnold's candidacy has certainly not been a good thing for Free Republic...and in my opinion, for the conservative movement or the GOP.

And the worst is in all likelihood yet to come.

I looked up BGR's profile, because I didn't recognize his/her name, and I saw that we were from the same state. Seeing that he/she was new, I looked back upon some of his/her posts. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Then, as the thread progresses, I see your little exchange. It's a public forum, so I joined w/CJ in asking you to clarify.

I should have stayed out of it, as it's always a waste of time trying to have polite discourse with the all or nothing crowd. If someone doesn't agree with you 100 percent, they're somehow un-American, or unworthy of the term conservative, etc, etc.

You know what? Different people have different views. It's part of living in America, like it or not. Get over yourself.

Of course he's not been able to point out any such behavior on my part. But that hasn't stopped him from trying to CLAIM it's so about a dozen or so times.
