As a New Yorker this still breaks my heart. While we'll never put the grief behind us I feel one thing was lost; they were totally awesome and beautiful towers/buildings. I used to stand at the bottom, look up towards the top and get dizzy. I hope the new structure does it justice...

Thank you for reminding me about those things that really matter. 9/11/01 put me in a very sour mood after a bad year up to that point. 3 freak accidents prior to that primed me for that sad event. I will send your pictures to my pen-pals in Canada and Brazil (women). Pictures express more to women than men. The absolute horror at the WTC acts can only be expressed in pictures. I used to cut high school with buddies and took the PATH train to NYC and rode the elevator up one of the WTC buildings while it was still being built. They didn't care about a few teenagers walking around; just don't interfere with their work, and we were free to roam. We must go on, though...

I noticed the different wordings from Rueters and AP. Especially the one of Rummy looking like the Alpha male of the world, and they put something like "The troops would like to ask him, 'When are we going home?'"
Yeah, I noticed the Rummy pictures first......
