Because the Boy Scouts want to imbue young people with a deep faith in God, Perry said, atheists would not be able to meet the organization's goals. And people who openly profess anything other than heterosexual orientation are not the role models the Boy Scouts want for its members, he said.

Way to go, Perry! Get back in their faces and fight for what is right.

One would think this Ender dude, a former Eagle Scout, would show some backbone. For him to believe this issue needs to be debated is absurd. Makes me wonder if he's gay.

"The (U.S.) Supreme Court said the Boy Scouts have the right to discriminate," Brandon said. "But that doesn't mean an institution that receives state and federal funding should open their doors to them."

"If you select to discriminate against one organization because of its viewpoint," he said, "you must do the same to all organizations with a viewpoint."

College is a place to exchange ideas for all, not just some. I believe they have a Catch 22 here.

Banning the boy Scouts from the college campus would open a can or worms that would close the college's facilities to a wide range or organizations, Perry said.

Yup.

These types are constantly accusing conservative of hate because we don't like their lifestyle. But their hate of God and the family dwarfs anything they think we feel.

I think they are projecting. I think they are "hate groups".

A 36 year old homosexual witnesses the potential for a new crop of victims. No wonder he broke into a cold sweat.

All people discriminate. All organizations discriminate. Discrimination is part of life. What gays and liberals want is not an end to discrimination, but and end to discrimination against them. Gays have their own forms of discrimination, but that's not written about too much.

When the Supreme Court sobered up enough to declare the Boy Scouts a private organization that could discriminate in its membership they recognized that there is a legal basis for discrimination.

But, knowing the flaky nature of the High Court all of that could change tomorrow.

Notice that all these anti-Christian actions are tied to the fact that the promoting institutions accept federal money. Anytime an organization accepts a federal handout, they willingly put their head into the noose, and survive only by the hangman's grace.

Yea, yea. Make the Boy Scouts a reserve unit of the US Army. That'll shut the gays up.

Gays-in-the-military was a huge hot-button issue too….I mean….right up until 9/11. Now that American soldiers are dying in wars against terrorists, try finding a single homosexual in this country who'll admit gays ever wanted to be part of the military in the first place. They all have amnesia as long as heterosexuals are doing their fighting and dying for them, and I might point out that 90% of those heterosexuals doing the fighting and dying on our behalf, are conservative and Republican by their very character. So what else is new, huh?

I'm simply sick and tired of the gay agenda.
I think that wearing us out on issues such as this is part of their plan -- whatever the heck their plan is.
Not caring whether or not a person is gay or straight is not homophobic.
Not wanting my kids around gay people is not homophobic.
Being sick and tired of people waving their sexuality in my face is not homophobic.

If a private organization doesn't want certain individuals in it, they should have that right.

Did the Boy Scouts behave badly toward him or something? What is this--he was just offended that they were using oxygen in his vicinity?

I'd be the first to say that the Boy Scouts should be capable of being polite no matter what. (One might sympathize with them if they weren't capable of it, under some circumstances.)

But this doesn't say that they did ANYTHING to him! He's just offended that a group that would exclude him was physically present in the same room??? Good GRIEF. Please name one human being on this earth who has not had that experience a zillion times in elementary school! And a quadzillion times more in junior high and high school!

Being excluded from some groups, formally or informally, is NORMAL! Why, Congress hasn't let me in to vote with them ONCE! The US Navy said my nearsightedness was too severe, and THEY excluded me (but I'm still warmly polite toward Navy personnel!) I'm a member of one church and don't you know, other churches don't consider me a member of theirs! I attend one university, but other universities haven't sent me welcome letters. And socially, wow! Half the human race considers me OUTSIDE their gender! Most of the human race sees me as an outsider one way or another.

Boy this just stinks doesn't it?

The best thing that 9/11 did for the military, is the fact that gays are LEAVING when their enlistments are up. There are units hurting for good recruits. Gays and lesbians are not signing up in the numbers that they did before 9/11.

There are also many taking early outs. Maybe we should let the Boy Scouts become a reserve unit of the US Army. Great idea.

"This is why God delivered them over to degrading passions. For even their females exchanged natural sexual intercourse for what is unnatural. The males in the same way also left natural sexual intercourse with females and were inflamed in their lust for one another. Males committed shameless acts with males and received in their own persons the appropriate penalty for their perversions.

And because they did not think it worthwhile to have God in their knowledge, God delivered them over to a worthless mind to do what is morally wrong. They are filled with all unrighteousness, evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, disputes, deceit, and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, arrogant proud, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, and unmerciful. Although they know full well God's just sentence - that those who practice such things deserve to die - they do not only do them, but even applaud others who practice them."

I was taught that the act of trying to destroy, confuse to inoperativeness, frighten, or disrupt, was the act of terrorism. Webster's II. dictionary defines terrorism as: the political use of violence or intimidation, and the word terrorize: to control or dominate by violence or intimidation. Is not what the gay community doing to intimidate the scouts into curtailing their freedoms? That makes anyone of any organization wishing to cause the downfall of any legal group within the United States terrorists. If the shoe fits,.........

How is what Kyle Brandon is trying to do to the Boy Scouts any different than what the people who sued all the municipalities, counties and states for having a 10 commandments monument on public property?

They all say that it makes them "feel" bad in one way or another. Somehow these suits by the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, People for the (un)American Way, (un)Americans for the Separation of Church and State, (un)American Atheists, and all the other groups that are destroying our way of life need to be stopped.

How does one find out how these groups get their funding? Something tells me that if these groups are exposed, they will scurry back into the dark places like the cockroaches they truly are.

This sad man's hissy fit made me write the Board of Trustees:

The Board of Trustees
P.O. Box 1500, College Drive,
Vineland NJ, 08362-1500

Dear Sirs,

September 7, 20003 Kyle Brandon at age 36 should not be making these demands to sooth his sensitivities at the expense of the Boy Scouts of America, a remarkably good organization.

Mr. Brandon’s remark that..."The (U.S.) Supreme Court said the Boy Scouts have the right to discriminate," Brandon said. "But that doesn't mean an institution that receives state and federal funding should open their doors to them." Says much about this over-aged gay man who obviously views the world according to Brandon, not by law from the highest court in the land. His argument is very weak and self-serving and I hope the Board of Trustees will not play the politically correct game; that they will not penalize in any way a fine organization of young boys just to placate this truly sad person.

Sincerely,

As an adult and a college president, Ender said, he believes he has fostered an atmosphere of tolerance and diversity on campus.

But if the Board of Trustees or a court decision goes against the Boy Scouts, he said, the organization and other groups deemed to have discriminatory policies could be banned from the campus.

So if you don't tow the 'homosexual' agenda we'll not tolerate you. Kind of screws their whole 'diversity' approach doesn't it. Don't these idiots listen to what they are saying?

Would ban be discriminatory?

David Perry, executive director of the Southern New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America, said the organization does not consider its policy to be discriminatory. Banning the group from returning to Cumberland County College, however, would be a form of discrimination, he said.

Here's the crux. It is not discrimination (as the term is used today) to bar certain behaviors. Murder is banned by almost every group and yet they are not accused of discrimination.

On the other hand the first ammendment (right of association) guarantees our right to discriminate for any reason. We need to reclaim our rights.

I long for the old days when people weren't afraid to expect moral behavior from those around them and shunned those who were immoral.
