“ . . . false comfort in a dangerous world.”

His speech tonight was, in clarity, the best and most compelling confirmation of the war on terrorism and the ongoing front against this war in regard to Iraq. International Islamic terrorism knows, that Iraq is it’s front – the terrorists are bringing in their soldiers to fight there . . . and better there, than in New York City.

But, one statement Bush said was, a quote, regarding the mind set, the neurosis, of some Americans, particularly of the Democratic Party, and of many in the civilized world – “false comfort in a dangerous world”.

Just look at what has just happened in California. The opinion of Californians was not asked, nor were the people of California given the opportunity to decide for themselves whether foreigners, illegal aliens, should be given defacto citizenship by means of a California drivers license. The Democratic Party, but in particular the Governor of California, decided for them, for the people of California, simply in a desperate means to save his governorship by means of voter fraud perpetrated by his foreign friends the illegal aliens. It would be too risky to allow the people of California to decide this issue themselves – because the same Democratic Party and Governor knew they would decide in a direction that wouldn’t met their approval. All you need to register to vote, is to show your California drivers license. And now, illegal aliens, foreigners, are given the right to vote in California, and thus disfranchise millions of legal citizens their rights and their Democratic process. And of course, this is exactly what will happen in California, and precisely what was intended to happen.

False comfort in a dangerous world? Yes. In California, we can see that in too many. Too many. But it won’t be long now. Very soon, the terrorist who are already here, and those now crossing the borders, they too will have a California drivers license. Why do they care, if their face is on the license? They will erase their face and thumb print from the face of the world when they blow themselves up along with a school bus in Los Angeles.

False comfort in a dangerous world? Yes. In California, the State government breaks the law, breaks immigration law, threatens our national security. And so, I ask:

... what is Bush going to do about it? Where is Ashcroft, homeland security, where are our law enforcers? Where?

Or maybe, when it comes to California, and the Hispanic vote, they have false comfort in a dangerous world?

Why do we always have to do it ourselves? Is that what is going to have to happen?

Good speech by our President. The best since his address after 911. And, it isn’t the time for false comfort in a dangerous world. Mr. President, please come to California. Because, there is a lot of false comfort there – and it’s a very dangerous world.

The maximum concession the Republicans can make, will fall short of what those who hate us and America want. It will never be enough, you can never give them enough. Leaders come and go, but nations are more than any one leader. Liberty alone makes a nation fit for liberty. That it how it’s going to have to work in Iraq. And that is how it’s going to have to work in California.

Your comments about what has happened in California is well worth thinking about. Isn't there a slogan somewhere that says " As California Goes, So Goes the Nation"? If there is any truth to that...we are all in BIG trouble.

Quality speech by Bush. The only issue that might be a problem is that he called for a multinational division to be put under AMERICAN control. A lot of U.N. members have been calling for U.S. concessions in power if they're going to support the reconstruction. U.S. retaining control over a multinational force might not fly too well. Thoughts?

Yes, the UN will want control.

I trust W would rather go it alone than turn over the War on Terror to that pack of jackals.

No, he didn't lie. He made a smart decision to fight the War on Terror there, not here. The jackals are fluttering like moths to the flame, for the opportunity to expel the heathen Americans from Iraq.

Yes - stupid. Yet another effort at the Big Lie. In CAPS no less.

The weapons are probably in the Bekaa Valley (northern Lebanon, next to Syria).

Not only was it stupid, it was a direct slam against the good men and women who gave thier life in Iraq to try to keep the sissy who wrote this safe.

Why don't you go tell that to the Kurds who were gassed by saddam.

I doubt that you would have that type of phony demo bravado in front of them.

But of course you are a cowardly phony dem.
