A senior Israeli official said yesterday that the Hamas leadership had not authorized the bloody Aug. 19 suicide bombing that blew apart a fragile cease-fire.
Gideon Meir, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, also said Israel was receiving intelligence from within the top ranks of Hamas.

BS. There is no "independent" terror cell. Israeli officials still cling to the delusion there are "good" terrorists, headed by Yasser Arafat and Abu Alaa and "bad" terrorists headed by Sheik Yassin and al-Rantisi. As long as this delusion in Israel about the nature of terrorism persists, we can look forward to more innocent Jews like the father and daughter who were looking forward to a wedding being buried in graves across the country.

The Israeli leaders are basically incompetent at this point. They are treading on treason by not getting their act together. Arafat's a *known* criminal and murderer and war criminal, yet they do nothing.
