I don't know what the weather is like in NY, but where I live the weather is just like that day - sunny, cool, high clouds.

Hard to believe how much our world has changed and those families who were about to lose a loved one forever.

I live in NYC. The weather is exactly like that morning. EXACTLY. Not a cloud in the sky. Chilling.

Be sure to fly the flag today.

My flag is flying. I think I may light the electric candles in my windows tonight after sunset.

The Saud's are a large royal family. Each man has four wives, their son's have four wives, and they all have children, with their wives and without their wives. These people, the uncles, the brothers, the children are all competing for the "family money" and power within the family. To understand this ugly mess, think angry relatives at the reading of a will and the division of "Dad's company".

Do we want to topple the part of the family that backs us? What do you think we should do?

The Saudis financed/planned/encouraged the 911 atrocities. Nothing has happened -- except they financed more.

Watching the WTC ceremony, I thought the weather looked EXACTLY like that day.

May we find ourselves safer today than we were that day.

First resumed flight

"We, the American People… find ourselves in the peaceful possession, of the fairest portion of the earth, as regards extent of territory, fertility of soil, and salubrity of climate. We find ourselves under the government of a system of political institutions, conducing more essentially to the ends of civil and religious liberty, than any of which the history of former times tells us…We toiled not in the acquirement or establishment of them--they are a legacy bequeathed us, by a once hardy, brave, and patriotic, but now lamented and departed race of ancestors. Theirs was the task (and nobly they performed it) to possess themselves, and through themselves, us, of this goodly land; and to uprear upon its hills and its valleys, a political edifice of liberty and equal rights; 'tis ours only, to transmit these, the former, unprofaned by the foot of an invader…to the latest generation that fate shall permit the world to know. This gratitude to our fathers, justice to ourselves, duty to posterity, and love for our species in general, all imperatively require us faithfully to perform."

"How then shall we perform it?--At what point shall we expect the approach of danger? By what means shall we fortify against it?-- Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant, to step the Ocean, and crush us at a blow? Never!--All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest; with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide." -- Abraham Lincoln

And BKO's calls to Ted probably gave away some of the motus operandi of the terrorists so that the folks in Pennsylvania could know to rush the cabin. ( and saving the Capitol Building)

You cant keep a good freeper from acting to save his/her country!

The damage from an attack on the Capitol could have taken out a good portion of the Congressional body

I'm just a couple hours' north of you... you're right, it IS the same beautiful weather as 9/11/01. If I remember correctly, 9/11/02 was like this also.

I understand the need to remember what happened, but most of these rememberances are exercises in self-pity and harken back to the Clintonian, "I feel your pain." Enough with the yellow ribbons and eternal flames. We should be angry and armed with a steely reserve and determination to get these bastards. Just as Remember Pearl Harbor and Remember the Alamo spured us on, so should Remember 9/11.

It's hard to fathom what the people in the Tower went through 2yrs. ago today, sitting at their desks typing away, then the world changed.
