Without meaning to pile on, here's some more pics to further drive home the point of this thread. Note that it was a day when we were not hyphenated Americans — not conscious of race, ethnicity or anything else that divides us. We were just Americans.

After two years, my ten year old daughter asked me: "If we didn't know this was going to happen, how come all the tv cameras were on the buildings when it did happen?" She sounded angry. She's been wondering this all along. I felt terrible for not knowing her thoughts on this. She has never really wanted to speak about it in detail, ever.

When I told her the news cameras weren't filming until after the first plane hit (because it was a big news story) and happened to get coverage on the second plane, she sat down and sighed with relief. Then went and found a little rhinestone American Flag pin shaped as a star her grandmother gave her this spring, pinned it on her blouse and said, "I wanna wear this to school today." I told her I was very proud of her.

Two years....where have I been?

I'll say! The whole conversation started because my son had made a mini-World Trade Tower out of Legos. Holes included. I guess I over-reacted in my tone of voice. I just thought I had covered this two years ago (he did something similar then) and many times since. I guess it's like talking about how babies are made with him. I know I talked about it many times, but he just didn't really understand enough to retain the information.

I could not agree with you more. My anger at the leftists in the media and the Democrat party is only slightly less than the anger I feel for the terrorists. I am feeling absolute rage at them as they continue to undermine our nation with their endless lying attacks on the President who is doing his constitutional duty of defending this country to the best of his ability! They are beyond contempt, and I pray that the voters will remember this in the next election and show them we aren't going to take this treasonous behavior anymore!

That was about the best.

It's as if our history and the way it was documented by patriots is being erased, expunged, edited.

I think I remember the child you refer to in your post. If memory serves me correctly the little girl wanted to go to Disneyland. The little girl's mom decided to take her, and the mom's best friend also was going on the trip with them. B/c they were using "flyer miles" they couldn't all get seats on the same plane, so mom and daughter went on one plane, and the best friend went on the other.

The mom and daughter's plane hit tower one, and the friend's plane hit tower two. The reason this story really hit me harder than most was at the same time the mom's brother, who worked at the WTC escaped the building his sister's plane had just hit.
