I believe I do have a copy of his discharge form. My mother gave me copies of those papers. Thanks. I'll check into the American Legion. I think there is a post in the next town over. I'd just like to find out if there are more details available about his service, such as where he had been.

I just had another thought, go to Army Times
and click about us then on the right side of the window click Editorial Contact Information. You should have a number of email addresses that could help you post an advertisment in the Army Times or one of the other services Times for information on your father. You'd have to tell all the important stuff like full name, and the rest of what's on his discharge papers but you should get something back if his service brothers who served with him have not yet made the move to the final duty station.
