Oh, joy! TWO opinionated blowhards!
That being said, I tend to agree with them the majority of the time. I just find their delivery strident and generally unpleasant.

Well at least Michael Savage is an intelligent blowhard. I have my doubts as to Mr. O'Reilly's intelligence.

This will be night to remember. I just hope the Yankee game is over or I'll have to watch the re-runs. Go Yankees, Go Savage!

I don't believe it!
Why is FOX News giving this clown this kind of exposure/credibility??? What's he have to do to prove he's at best, an unstable, hateful bufoon, and at worse a liberal in disguise, if his stunt on MSNBC won't do it???
Getting ready to write FOX News...Let then know what a loyal viewer thinks.
To: vikingcelt
No doubt that the sparks will be flying, but I feel completely confident that Bill O'Reilly will hold his own with Mr. Savage -- O'Reilly's track record of riveting interviews proves that he's in charge.
To: vikingcelt
No arguments here. I have read O'Reilly's books and have to wonder about some of the internal inconsistencies in his stated beliefs.

Hatefull? A liberal in disguise?
Well. He's the last angry man, who hasn't been sent off to kamp for reprogramming yet. Says what he thinks-- hatefull or not. Personally, I don't see the hate. Who does he hate? Terrorists? People who come to the country illegally? Lawyers? Hmmm.. sounds good to me.
And if he's a liberal in disguise, we need to get more of those costumes and pass them out on the Hill during lunch hour.

I read his books too...well at least one of them...and I felt like I had wasted my money. When we moved out of Kalifornia last October and I went through my books, I didn't even feel that it was worth keeping (and I LOVE books and hate to part with them) so I gave it to the public library.

Head to head? I don't think this will be contentious. I think it will be a tough interview, but O'Reilly actually agrees with Savage on immigration.
Mean faced, clip haired women bump!
To: yankeedoodledandy
Wow. There might be some fireworks here!
I like both O'Reilly and Savage. But both can be over-the-top at times. And both have egos in the statosphere.
Could be interesting if a disaagreement arises.
To: CygnusXI
The last time I listened to him (Literally the LAST time) he stated (And I paraphrase CLOSELY)...
"All liberal American reporters in the Middle East should be rounded-up and shot".
And that's just ONE example. He's over the edge...GONE! He's our Michael Moore...An embarrassment to us.

I tend to agree. That's a problem. Tmany people can't get beyond style and tone to hear the real message.
I think this is why people Like Katie Couric get away with what they do. The 'warm and fuzzy' glosses over the underlying meanness. Whereas people get upset with the likes of Savage and O'Reilly, even though their arguments are based on honor and principle. Savage may be right on many issue, but he's acerbic and many people shun him based on style alone.
To: yankeedoodledandy
O'Reilly's track record of riveting interviews proves that he's in charge. LOL! O'Reilly is a homosexual apologist that is going to get his @ss handed to him by Savage. Why don't you give an example of a riveting interview by O'Really?
To: yankeedoodledandy
Thanks for the heads up! Savage is passionate about this country! His knowledge about history is pretty thorough so I can't wait to see what happens...you can not predict with Michael....depends... They both hate the ACLU!!!!I love that aspect about both.
To: A Broken Glass Republican
What's the problem with people talking? Hey, he's got a lot to say that people will find controversial. So where's the harm? Let him vent. This country has to get its priorities straight. Savage has his agenda. Hey whatever happened to liberal wonderboy Victor Posner after he said in the New York Times that he was glad there was a Republican in the White House? I find myself more in agreement with Savage these days than the RINO O'Reilly.

Frist and his punks letting the likes of a HildebBeast run off Miguel Estrada embarass me alot more than a little aggressive speaking.

Well.. admittadly he does have occasional outburts of wacky statements, like the one you listed. Still though, people (like me) who listen regularly know he's blowing steam.
Savage being OUR Mikal Moore? Oh man... Don't go there dood, Savage has his moments of assininity (New word!!), while Moore bases his whole existense on it. Haha...
(Forgive the dood reference. It's an inside joke to myself.. I'll get therepy later.)

Savage is passionate about this country! He certainly is. Did you hear his 9/11 memorial show last night? I was so glad he recently made it back on the air in NYC -- just in time to let his voice be heard last night. New Yorkers needed to hear what he had to say.
To: PBRSTREETGANG
"What's Savages mission?
To make money for Savage."
Yeah, and he also has raised money for lawyer fees to defend a cop who he thought was being railroaded.
So yeah, he makes money for himself *gasp*, and he aslo helps others.
He ain't no Ghandi, or Mother Theressa, but he ain't a monney grabbin "who gives a crapper" either.
I think he's earnest in his beliefs.

Try getting a TV / radio voice remodifying rectifier.
I have one in "Elmer Fudd" for watching the weather channel.
One in "Buggs Bunny" to listen to Rush, and O'Reilly.
I'm working on one for my wife in "Laurie Dhue", but so far no success.

No...
Arnold is a Moderate Republican and Savage is a bufoon.
Just like I've always said. But don't let the facts get in the way of your propaganda.

I don't like O'Reilly either. I watch the Discovery channel when he's on waiting on Scarborough to come-on (I've grown tired of Hannity and Combs too).

O'Reilly's track record of riveting interviews proves that he's in charge. I used to think so too. But Bill talks a big game and never delivers. He promised hard-hitting interviews with Garafalo and O'Donnell, and he ended up going extremely light. I remember when Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn were on. He gave Kurt all the hard stuff, and when Goldie spoke her hippie crap, Bill was too goggly-eyed to even respond. I have lost a LOT of respect for Bill.

Hey, at least I quit spelling it "Bafoon" like I did before some Freeper corrected me the last time. (HORRIBLE SPELLER ----> Me).
To: yankeedoodledandy
I've tried to listen to Savage, but his obsessive self-aggrandizment, neurotic narcissism and at times near psychotic incoherence always put me off badly.
I also suspect he's mostly a phony opportunist in the "right-winger-for-pay" category.

It's the money. Every time one of the media people I like gets a fat contract, I find they gravitate to statism(Rush being the exception, but his bucks are big enough to just chuck it all whenever he wants). Hannity used to get 4 hours a day from me, now I tend to put on ESPN's fishing shows when I'm near a TV in the afternoon, and listen to the radio at night.
