Bush has his share of faults and will never satisfy the so-called "True Conservatives" among us, but no electable candidate ever will.I used to listen to the Ed Koch show on WABC in New York and I remember him saying, "If you agree with me on 10 out of 15 things, vote for me. If you agree with me on 15 out of 15 things, see a psychiatrist."

More than that .. HE CAUGHT THEM CHEATING AND STOPPED IT!!
NO REPUBLICAN EVER HAD THE COURAGE TO CHALLENGE THEM BEFORE.

Love his writing -- he is syndicated in our paper here in OK every week!
The Clinton RATs are truly filled with hate -- don't think they can believe we have a President that actually says what he is going to do and does it! The spin has been replaced by facts -- that is an approach that the RATs hate because truth is normally not on the side of the Clinton DemocRATs!

BZZZZZT! "Neocon" alert. Do not read any more posts from Uno Animo. He has used the N-word. (also on this list: 'bourgeois,' 'progressive,' etc.) Sometimes I wish FR would put the poster's name on TOP of the post so I can more easily avoid those of the true buttholes.

Lancey, I think you're right -- their hatred for Bush is all wrapped up in the ignominy of Clinton's impeachment. They are determined to 'impeach' Bush -- to prove that 'everybody does it' -- that he's not as good as he seems -- that he's lying. I almost feel sorry for them. Then I remember the election of 2000... they had definitely 'paid for it' -- hell, they hired Mayor Daley of Chicago, how much more clearly could they telegraph it? Yet they still lost the prize. Ooooh, stamp stamp STAMP, they are maaad!

Did any of you hear Sean Hannity's version of "Have You Forgotten?" He had inserted quotes from various demonrats, and to me, it sounded like blasphemy. The hatred was so intense you could feel it.
Other reasons the demons hate Bush (and I believe his genuine Christianity is a biggie) is because they know in their hearts he is everything they pretended Clinton was. Clinton's "leadership" was a facade. Bush is a real man who instinctively knows how to lead. He doesn't have to bite his lip and fake tears. He's genuine to the core, and you can feel it when he speaks. I'll never forget his posture and facial expression when he walked from his helicopter to the White House on 9/11. Every inch of him looked pissed, and you KNEW he was going to take care of things.
Also, President Bush is cool. Clinton THOUGHT he was, and his groupies pretended he was, but he was, and always will be, a con artist. Bush owns a real ranch. He drives around in a big ole Ford pickup. He always has his dawgs with him, and he genuinely cares about them. He looks great in jeans and work clothes. He's real. Clinton never was any of that. The Clintonoids hate Bush for all the reasons listed above my post here and will never forgive him for being the man "their" President never was.

The innate decency of right-thinking people means that an effort is required to get into the mindset of leftists. They *exulted* in X42's saying and doing nasty things - allowing them to feel good about their own nasty selves. W=forced cold turkey.

Like the Reagan cuts, they will starve the government of revenue for years to come. The improved economy brought in MORE tax dollars. And the media pundits wonder why we shout BIAS.

My theory is that liberalism is the religion of envy.
Hell, the libs are ENVIOUS of GWB, because he's everything they wanted Clinton to be (moral, upright, strong, a role model).
Instead they had to create a President (Martin Sheen) so they could ignore the stink coming from the White House.

What Makes the Bush Haters So Mad? His Christianity.
Bingo, SkyPilot!
When I saw the question, that was the answer that immediately came to mind.
We are involved in great spiritual warfare, and George W. Bush represents to the Godless American left, the enemy.........righteousness, justice and most of all LIFE. That, IMO, is why they really hate him.
(I can't explain the freeper haters.......they make no sense at all......just mad at the world, I guess).

Then, taking a look at other headlines this evening we see that yet another reason the "Bush haters" are so mad is because the Canadian government just betrayed Tokers Internationale with it's first pot sales. Most FReepers think that our war on mrijuana is ridiculous. It's not just a liberal thing.

Analytical writers like this keep not mentioning that almost immediately after the swearing-in guys put away the Bible upon which Bush swore his oath of office, came the Chinese confrontation over our spy plane. IMO, that set the tone, showed what W was worth, and did much to prepare him and his team for the next Big Event, come that September.
Also, W went to Europe and fraternized with national leaders whose help we were going to need, making friends, using his charm and good will to develop these contacts, before we needed them. Coincidence? I think not. The man prays. He knows his God. He knows his mission. He has a charge to keep. And I thank God daily for him being in office. I pray for Four More Years.

Those on the right side of the political aisle more often base their political views on ideas such as individual rights, limited government, and separation of powers. As a result, those on the right are more likely to view those on the left as mistaken or misguided than evil.
I don't know if I can agree with the above. Seems to me the leftists are trying to destroy everything that is pure and good and free about our country to replace it with some sort of nazi-communism amalgamation. I think they are true evil.

Seems to me the leftists are trying to destroy everything that is pure and good and free about our country to replace it with some sort of nazi-communism amalgamation. I think they are true evil.Leftists are more inclined to utopianism and the notion of rule by an enlightened elite. The practical result is a dystopia in which individual rights are trampled. I think that most leftists genuinely believe that they can replace the traditional institutions they attack with something better. Their intentions are good, but they fail to see where a path so paved may lead. Once the institutions that provide checks and balances in society and government (and which provide an obstacle to the implementation of utopian schemes) are removed, it becomes easier for a demagogue to manipulate the emotions of the masses and satisfy his own lust for power.

I can tell you why they hate Bush. They worshipped Clinton and saw Gore as the best way to maintain the Clinton years without changing the Constitution. Bush put an end to that.
Its as simple as that.

The answer is just tooooooo easy.
The dems/socialist-communists are scared s**tless that the American public will come to put 2+2 together and come up with 4 (Plus interest).
They are afraid that the average 'murican will discover that the conservative program/agenda actually works.
Cutting taxes really does increase money into the coffers.
The NEA is really worthless.
Unions reduce productivity.
Communism doesn't work.
Guns don't kill people, people kill people.
Rich people create jobs. No one ever got a job from a homeless man!
The only REAL function of the federal government is the Military.
A reduction in the rate of spending increases is NOT A SPENDING CUT.
The NOW does NOT represent any real women.
Squaw is NOT a demeaning word!
Sean Penn is a complete f'in idiot.
So is Barbra Streisand!
And so many, many more truths.
Eat a rock, Terry McAwful

These people know in their hearts that clinton was a failure as a president. If GWB was to jaywalk we'd probably hear about it on the evening news. They would love to make GWB the 3rd impeached president. IMO.

right after September 11, Bush started using the term "evil" a lot. This infuriates the left, bc they are more of moral relativists, as opposed to traditionilists.

Nevertheless, they do seem to view the world through a quasi-moral lens. Maybe the relativists simply view the right as "mean" and the left as "nice."

I guess what makes the left angry is when evil is called evil.
you are right, a big part of their program is social justice, it's for the children, so it's a moral plea, but it's of the socialism is moral variety. they stray from the moral absolutes and are violently opposed to them...look at the 10 Commandments uproar.
