Well, I don't know for sure, but there are signs of nepotism and political favors:

From the Fresno Bee: http://www.fresnobee.com/local/story/7453651p-8371170c.html

"Deputy Mayor Roger Montero said Monday that Reyes should resign. If she doesn't, he said, Council Member Cynthia Sterling should remove Reyes from the commission. Sterling appointed Reyes to the commission."

"Sterling, a close friend of Reyes' sister, Assembly Member Sarah Reyes, D-Fresno, didn't return a telephone call or reply to an e-mail sent to her office."

Do you know if Alan Autry is the one who played Hubba Bubba on TV (Heat of the Night)? Is he related to Gene Autry?

I feel the same way, DoughtyOne. I have grown to despise the anti-American libs who want to take this country down.

Heck, the students in our town drive by with their radios turned way up. You can hear them coming blocks away. Sometimes they would even shake the house if they were parked in your driveway. Didn't have to worry much about drive by shootings but the noise factor got so bad with all the student houses around us downtown, that we moved out of the village.

That's right, Charlie Daniels is one big threat to their freedoms!

Found this Bio. via a google.com search:

Carlos Alan Autry was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1952. As a child, he moved with his family to the central San Joaquin valley and grew up in the farming community of Riverdale, California. Alan attended and graduated from Riverdale High School and received a scholarship to attend the University of Pacific as a student athlete. After graduating from the University of The Pacific (UOP), Alan spent 3 years with the NFL's Green Bay Packers.

Alan has spent 22 years in the film and television industry and has opened his own production company (Dirt Road Productions) in the Fresno area. He has remained active in our community and has championed many worthwhile causes from crime prevention to the education of our children.

Alan has never left his roots and loves raising his family in Fresno. He is married to Kimberlee and has three children; Lauren, Heather and Austin.

In his successful career as a professional football player, actor and businessman, Alan appreciates that success depends on teamwork and steadfast leadership. The same is true of a city. United, under the direction of a mayor whose vision is one of inclusion and action, Fresno will take its place as the nation's leader in innovation, resourcefulness and creativity.

Thanks, Julie. I wondered what had happened to him. I didn't realize he'd been a Packer. My husband is a number one Packer fan. He's been faithful to them no matter how badly they've played through the years. Autry sounds like a winner to me! M

I hope her imp minions feel the hate from my "inflammatory post," too.
