Folks, you can beat your heads against the wall all you like, but there is a sad reality in life. In real life folks don't listen to the guys with the best ideas. They didn't in grade school, high school, college or all too often even in business.

Popularity has trumped in just about every setting you've found yourself your whole life. Why did you think this election campaign would be different?

Yes Tom has great ideas. So do lots of businesses. So do lots of inventors. If you can't market and sell those ideas, the gig is up.

I'm not necessarily faulting Tom here. When Schwarzenegger entered the race, he was bound to suck up all the oxygen in the room. Well he has. That's just an ugly fact of life. Now, accept it or continue to be very unhappy. There isn't anything you can do about it.

Every community college in this nation has nudes pose for their art classes. The idea that a five time Mr. Olympia wouldn't have nudes out there some place is a rather shallow perception.

These photos have been known to be out there for at least the last month. Now Drudge announces them like they were just discovered. Drudge is looking more silly by the day.

I don't think that the nude pictures are the bomb that Davis will drop in the last week or two. Let's see what happens, we won't need to wait long. (I don't think CA will be all that perturbed by nude pics anyway.)

You know, Arnold has young kids out there. If people keep trying to destroy him by dumping garbage like this in public, it's really going to begin to reflect more poorly on them than Schwarzenegger.

All the dirt that has been dumped so far hasn't dented his standing one iota. I see these efforts as unfortunate.

His kids look to be between the ages of ten and fourteen. If this garbage isn't inflicting damage to Schwarzenegger's campaign, is it really worth it to do this?

I can't imagine what would be the magic bullet to take him down if they haven't already done it with the stuff they've put out so far.

We didn't lighten up on Clinton because Chelsea was an young girl at the time. I think anyone in politics has to know that it comes with the territory - if they can't handle people saying bad things about them, even outright lies, then they don't belong in politics.

I do agree that the dirt-digging on Arnold has had no negative effect on him so far. From experience, however, we know that the Dems save the nastiest charges for the last few days of the campaign.

Along these lines I've tried to come up with what might be revealed. Would it be some homosexual act? Would it be an affair? What would it be?

The guy is living a heterosexual life with a woman and four children. Whatever this vile revelation is, it's my feeling that whoever makes it is going to bring down the wrath of the state's public upon their own heads rather than Arnold's.

This has reached the point, that if someone is going to go this low to kill Schwarzenegger's political career, that their own desparation is going to become the focal point.

Drudge looks more like a spurned lover with each passing day.

When you're talking about issues that reach the level of treason and malfeasance in office, what else can you do but address them? Clinton's ongoing traveling road show was what attracted more comment than anything.

If he'd done things as a kid and cleaned up his act, he'd have probably outrun the issues. The problem was, he continue to offend.

Monica wouldn't have been nearly as problematic for me, if it hadn't been for that one phone call he made discussing whether to send our troops into a battle situation with a Florida Congressman, while getting serviced at the same time.

The man was unfit for office. Schwarzenegger just doesn't compare IMO. I could go down the line. Clinton did many things that directly related to politics. So far Arnold hasn't even been in politics.

We had a lot of nasty things to say about the Clintons before they were caught red-handed breaking the law while in office. I don't think having kids renders immunity to political charges... bringing the kids directly into the fray, however, does cross all lines of decency (whether it's the candidate's own kids or the competition's). Then again, when have the Dems respected decency?

Within 2 weeks we will know for sure, anyway.

There isn't anything you can do about it.

It ain't over till the fat lady sings.

Your boy made a fool out of himself, Adrianna already was, Bustemante wasn't there, and Mr Green pretended he was Jesse Jackson.

When the debate sinks in, McC's numbers will go up. I can't wait to see how Rush spins the debate. I'd guess when he gets done, Arnold takes a dip. Jerry Seinfelt could do a better job, if comedy is what you're after.

The nude pics are old news. Do you some googling and you'll see more of Arnold than you probably ever wanted to see....

Yes. Do some Google searches. I think everything there is that is "bad" about Arnold is already out there in the public universe of information. The question is whether someone in the media has the "chutzpah" to pick it up and run it as "new news"... Grayout has been promising a "surprise" in the final week of the campaign. He sure has been acting awfully confident of late.

Thanks for posting the whole transcript.

As you might expect, Arnold's comments on prop 54 are especially disturbing to me.

Cheers,

Remember how Mulholland torpedoed Hershenson?

All too well. What a bitter ending to that campaign. Herschensohn would have been a fantastic senator.

As much as I dislike what Arnold has chosen to stand for, I hope Bob hasn't got anything left in bag of dirty tricks.

A last minute smear bomb by Mulholland could take down the entire recall.
