I am most pleased to read this. Blair seemed to me to act so honorably and nobly in the wake of 9/11 and his speeches leading up to the war in Iraq, that I argued he could not be as friendly with Clinton as the popular perception seemed to be.
You know the Clintons clung to this illusion as a shred of some honor to his foul "legacy", and now there that goes...POP. Remember when Blair first came to Camp David and the toothpaste joke President Bush made? Blair seemed uncomfortable at first and our media was all atwitter because, they claimed, Blair was really simpatico with Clinton and would not find a friend in Bush like he had with Clinton (the thinking went).
You know Clinton is seething that Blair rose up and met history's challenge in an honorable way. A way naturally repugnant to the likes of Clinton.
