Please pray for a 7 yr old with Leukemia

I would like to ask for prayer for Jacquelyn. She's 7 yrs old and was diagnosed with luekemia in late June. The prognosis isn't that great, the doctors give her no more than a 50/50 chance to survive. She has been taking chemotherapy treatments every other week and has been a trooper and so brave.

She is supposed to be having another treatment this week but she can't because she is too sick. She has a blood fungus and some kind of infection and she's in extreme pain. They have her on morphine. I'm just so concerned about her. She's such a beautiful little girl, so full of life and personality and I know she's in God's hands but we all love her so much we want her here with us.

My daughter-in-law said that she teared up in front of her the other and Jacquelyn hugged her and told her don't worry I'll be okay. Saturday, they let my grandchildren see her and they read her a book but she's been too sick most of the time to have any visitors except her parents.

I ask everyone I see to pray for her and I know how faithful so many of you are and I'd like you to add your prayers.

I wish I had a picture of her, you'd all fall in love with her immediately.

Heavenly Father, this dear child is suffering ~ our hearts are grieved at her pain. May the medicines give her relief, but it is You, dear Father, who give her comfort. Purify her blood and rid her body of this infection, that she may continue her treatments. Let this not be a setback, but a pause to recover before going on. Lord, have mercy on this child and draw her to the side of recovery, in the name of Jesus, I pray ... Amen ...

I already have and she's breaking my heart. I can hardly bear to read things like this, but I know the Lord will keep her, either here or with Him and I cling to that belief to find comfort.

Lord, we come before your Throne and boldly ask that young Jaquelyn be healed of this leukemia. We know that this is totally within Your power. We ask that she be healed in a way that can only be attributed to Your power, so that You may be glorified, and that, as a result, many would come to faith in You.

You said in Your Word to "suffer the little children to come unto Me..." You love these little ones, created in Your image. We know that disease and death are the legacy of the lie of the Evil One in the Garden, and that You came to earth to offer the sacrifice that saves us from sin and death, and gives us eternal life when we put our faith and trust in You.

So,Lord, on behalf of this little one, we ask for Your divine healing, and for the healing of her family and loved ones who are in the depths of despair over her sickness. Thank You for Your mercy and love. Amen.


Tiki, even without the picture, Jacquelyn sounds like a lovely little girl. She has already been given a measure of courage, as shown in the way she comforts her mother. She is strong. Let us have faith in the One who knows the number of every hair on our heads, and who loves us with an everlasting love, and who loves the little children even more than we do.
