My brother in law has been on oxicontin for a while because of some serious medical problems, he ran out 2 days before he could get a new scrip. He went in to withdrawl, very ugly. He wasn't a nice person before he was on it, he was a LESS nice person while on, and down the drain in withdrawl.

Limbaugh may be flawed, big deal. I will wait to see how this all turns out. Drugs cross all barriers of race, wealth and sex. Addiction of sort sort touches most families.
My ortho guy wrote an RX for me post knee surgery. I sat on the couch with my knee elevated on a pillow and took one pill. I sat staring at the TV for a long time and slept with my eyes open. I actually drooled on myself.
I went to extra strength Tylenol after that mother load pill. I still have the rest of the bottle. I cannot see how Limbaugh could have used so many pills and not been slurred or impaired. When I went back for a check on my knee, my MD asked me if I needed another script for the pain pills. Ya right.

I have yet to see him accurately portrayed by anyone. Rush speaks for Rush. Rather than issuing statements to be parsed by the press, I think he would rather save his story for his three, uninterrupted hours.

Yes, Rush could work and still be high. I saw medical people do it at a hospital I used to work at. Some of them were MD's!!!!!

True, but Rush is a VOICE for the CONSERVATIVES and has quite a large audience and is respected.

The DEMS must eliminate him, mainly because their Candidates suck so badly, they should all be named HOOVER.

Our society has "freedom of speech", however, once you cross the line by offending the "untouchables", all your freedom disappears.
