Well, why did Robert Novak print the woman's name? And why doesn't Novak name the person who told him her name?

From all I've read, there is nothing to indicate that the person gave Novak the woman's name. Rather, this person merely said that "the wife of Wilson worked for the CIA."

I believe that Novak discovered her actual name, and decided on his own to publish this information.

"Loftus also said scuttlebutt is that the initial leak to Novak came from Cheney's chief of staff (forget the name) and the confirmation came from Rove. But Novak has said the info didn't come from the WH, so don't know if this is accurate.

Well thats one kind of scttlebutt. The scuttlebutt here is that Wilson himself did t ---which makes the most sense.

Novak and a few other reporters have all the names and they could put an end to this today and save time and money.

IMHO the WH needs tom get out and TEAR THESE PROPAGNDA STORIES APART

By talking about Wilson's wife? That's just what the left wants -- for the administration to come out fighting, so they can accuse them of further leaks, subversion and intimidation.

Plame along with her idiot husband and the Washington Post (seeking to recapture their "glory days" of Watergate), are most probably the beginning and end of this entire episode, and anyone who is innocent has nothing to gain by speaking out right now.

Let it play out. Let those who are involved stew in their hate and ratchet up the lies and innuendoes until they choke on them.

The administration should never have let it get this far by allowing her diddly husband to get a visa out of the country, much less "investigate" yellow cake and WofMS. Well, that's my opinion.
