just use the new fake email addy... the gist is this: make up any name you want, up to 14 characters, and then add this:@mailinator.com. this is a link to an existing server, so it won't be kicked back as invalid. any replies or spam will be sent to this addy, which automatically deletes it every 20 minutes. Ive used this a couple of times to get on sites that force you to register to gain content. Heard about it on XM based computer show. have fun,

CC

"Before a Schwarzenegger rally in Modesto, a warmup speaker, Rob Johnson, a radio host on local station KFIV-AM, said jokingly:

"You notice the media is right back behind you there. How about a nice wave to the media. Hi, media. Except for the guy Who's the guy with the L.A. Times? Find him and beat him up, would you?""

Do we know this guy?

Typical lies from the editors saying they aren't biased and weren't taking direction from the Rats.

In addition to that, I watched the Sunday news programs and not one of them stated in their coverage of the Arnold "Hitler" story that the LA Slimes had retracted their previous story when they obviously got it wrong.

All they covered was the fact that the Slimes ran a story stating that Arnold said he admired Hitler. Agenda? What agenda?

Here's mine which I emailed:

I want to express my dissatisfaction on the clearly biased fashion you cover news events concerning the California recall.

There is a clear bias toward Gov Gray Davis in the current election recall.

While its true you did run articles un favorable to Davis in the past none were run at the 11th hour as is the case with Mr. Schwarzenegger.

Even the NYT has published an article in which Mr. Butler recants his statements about Mr Schwarzenegger's "admiring Hitler".

Schwarzenegger Releases Data on Hitler Comments

I Believe the "He groped women" articles to be as accurate as the I admire Hitler article .

The Los Angeles Times has lost a lot of journalistic credibility in all of this and will soon be a viewed in the same sense that the National Enquirer is.

BTW, I love this. Both the LA and the NY Slimes has really gone too far this time, and now they are cold-busted.

This is gonna be fun. :o)

Curiously, after the Jason Blair incidents and numerous other ones, the LAT had been edging out the NYT as America's paper of record. NYT blew their credibility big time.

But the LAT just couldn't resist. So now they are sinking as fast.

Editor John Carroll responded that he believed The Times has provided balanced coverage,

Hey. Once John Carroll is fired as editor, he's got a career in stand-up comedy. :o)

"Keep in mind that "over a thousand" can mean anywhere from 1001 to the entire circulation of the paper (just barely over one million). I'm guessing the true number of cancellations is probably closer to 5,000."

The next time an advertizer negotiates his account, he may remind the LA Times about these matters, insofar as his ad will reach fewer potential customers.

The advertizers would reasonably expect lower rates; should demand them. If enough of that process takes place, the Times may reform themselves.

Not optimistic.
