Desperate Davis Hires Shredding Service: Gray Davis to Destroy Incriminating Documents
Foxnews ^ | 10-05-03 | Tony Snow

Posted on 10/05/2003 10:58:44 AM PDT by jmstein7

On Fox News Live (Breaking)...

Fox News reports that the Davis Administration has sought the services of document shredding companies. The implication is that he thinks that there is a good chance he will be kicked out of office, and this is a desperate attempt to destroy incriminating evidence.

Tony Snow and guest suggest that the GOP should seek a restraining order to prevent the destruction of potential material evidence...

Thanks, I was beginning to doubt my own credibility after noting that it seemed to disappear.

Exerpt:
By a 3-0 vote, California's Wildlife Conservation Board approved the land purchases -- totaling nearly $300 million -- without making public the appraisals that were used to justify the sale prices. The Davis administration has routinely refused to release such information in the past, and Davis' acceptance of $163,000 in contributions from the three landowners has raised questions about whether taxpayers are getting a good deal.

Responding to the San Jose Mercury News accounts of the issue, Arnold Schwarzenegger's campaign announced Tuesday that if elected, Schwarzenegger would make appraisals and other key documents public before the state buys open space.

Lord God,

PLEASE, INSURE that dozens of staff members--of the least bit of integrity and especially honorable Believers--PLEASE INSURE that they secret away the most incrimminating documents with clear proof of the worst misdoings of this corrupt administration in CAlifornia. If necessary, cause even the staff of the shredding companies to secret documents away.

Please make sure that such employees make 3-4 notorized copies of the best documents and secure those in different locations.

Please insure that quality print and other media people then compile the worst and publicize such at the most opportune time--perhaps the last week before the 2004 election.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Please let me add....

AND let one of your angels whisper in the ear of the shredding company's employees, "Destroying evidence of a crime is a FELONY!"

Looks like a job for the Justice Dept.

Yeah, sure. That's hilarious.

Ashcroft is more concerned about jailing Tommy Chong for selling glassware than prosecuting criminal 'Rats. "New Tone" and all.

These dolts' associates just gave Fat Drunk Bimbokiller Teddy a big fabulous-person award yesterday, for God's sake. They don't care about other criminal parasite politicians - they're in the same business!

Then I guess I don't understand why you brought up the CEO of Enron. Lay presided over quite the financial scandal, yet years later has yet to be 'brought to justice'. If Davis had been in Lay's position, I don't understand why you think the outcome would have been different. I'm guessing Davis also would not have been 'brought to justice'.

If not for the Oklahoma prosecutors, Bernard Ebbers would probably have emerged from his WorldCom mess unindicted. The Feds don't seem to have the appetite to prosecute him.

Personally, I think Davis, Lay, and Ebbers should all be held accountable. However, people at that level are rarely held accountable. It does happen, but tends not to.

Perhaps yell in the ears of such staff!

And, perhaps keep Gray Sewerwater Davis awake with nightmares of such so much that he becomes more and more erratic and sloppy in trying to cover his tracks.

Yes, shredders are a big seller to the left.

If they weren't so wacko about the environment they could just burn the evidence and put the money in the offshore accounts with the rest of what they've stolen from the taxpayers.

If I remember correctly, it's called the "Slash-And-Burn" retreat.

Sadly enough it's the "politically correct" thing to do in the minds of the followers of the left.

I wish Schwarzenegger would seek a court order to prevent shredding. State troopers should be placed in the capital to prevent it. If Davis is culpable in crime, he should go down for it.

Sadly enough it's the "politically incorrect" thing to do in the minds of the "left biased" media!

My husband and I laughed tonight while watching Fox News and they had a clip of Gray Davis saying how Arnold could never be Governor of California because Arnold, while a young, single guy groped a few bimbos. What really made us laugh was that there was Jesse Jackson, standing right behind Gray Davis looking very serious - I'm sure you all remember Reverend Jesse Jackson - the old married man who produced a child with his young mistress. All they need is Bill Clinton, looking very serious, standing behind Gray Davis while Davis says the same thing about Arnold. They truly insult our intelligence.

There's a presumption in federal tax law that evidence that it is in the power of a party to furnish, and that he does not furnish, is not in his favor. (The leading case is Wichita Terminal.) I wonder if destroying evidence here would create a similar presumption.

Gee, isn't that what -- THE NAZIS -- did?

The Nazis did try to destroy incriminating evidence, but there was plenty left to convict those of them that the Allies chose to go after. (The Cold War was quickly starting at the end of WWII, and so we quickly chose not to pursue a lot of matters, but not because of lack of evidence.)

I suspect the same will be true of the Davis administration. In this age of computers, it's a lot harder to destroy evidence than it was for the Nazis.

As if Davis would obey it! Contempt of court and destruction of evidence will definitely have less of a sentence than what he could be convicted of if the documents were not destroyed.

Send in a contingent of the CA National Guard....

The California National Guard is the Governors Army, not likely that they would or could do anything (prior to the recall). It would make for some really terrific headlines if they did. Could you imagine how many politicians (all over the US) would need to change their shorts after reading those headlines?

I cant do that. Sounds like a graphic a Democrat would be happy with. I can imagine it popping up on bartcop and buzzflash.

I'm sure that Bubba Clintoon and $inator Hildebea$t will give Herr Davis good advice on what shredders to rent and what should be shredded first.

Watch the LA Slimes, SF Gayrhonicle, the Bees, and San Josie Jerkury, to remove from their servers any editorial, oped or lie that supported Davis as soon as Davis is voted out.
