Sunday: LA Times Alleges 4 More Women
NewsMax ^ | October 5, 2003 | NewsMax Wires

Posted on 10/05/2003 1:03:13 PM PDT by Bubba_Leroy

The Los Angeles Times is continuing its “puke” campaign against Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger, reporting on Sunday that four more women have stepped forward to accuse the actor of improper sexual advances. The paper says that so far “15 women have now accused the Republican candidate for governor” of having “fondled, spanked or touched them in incidents they said took place as recently as 2000 and as long ago as 1979.”

Schwarzenegger attacked the papers reports as part of a last minute puke campaign" aimed at torpedoing his expected victory on Tuesday.

Incredibly, the Times received these allegations on Saturday and with the most minimal of vetting, ran the allegations in Sunday’s papers.

The new allegations include:

“A 51-year-old woman who said Schwarzenegger pinned her to his chest and spanked her shortly after she met him at a West Los Angeles post-production studio in 2000.

”Tamee Smith, 46, who said Schwarzenegger followed her into a bathroom on a studio lot and grabbed her breast during work on the movie "Predator" in 1986.

”Jan Prinzmetal, 50, who said Schwarzenegger reached under her skirt and grabbed her bare buttocks outside a Venice gym in the mid-1980s.

”Elizabeth Rothner, 45, who said Schwarzenegger lifted her sweatshirt at a popular Santa Monica bar in 1979, exposing her bare breasts before a crowd.

”The Times provided details of each of the new allegations to Schwarzenegger's campaign Saturday. The candidate's spokesman, Sean Walsh, said Schwarzenegger had said that the accounts of three of the women were untrue. Walsh said Schwarzenegger had no recollection of the alleged Venice gym incident.”

HEY, LA SLIMES!!!

What dreamy eyed, gahgah minded, aspiring groupie or even just yearning woman worth her hormones

would

NOT like to line up as having been groped by the famous hands and biceps? Not a lot to lose, lots to gain--at least in ego and self-esteem.

Imagine getting ready for the daily sower/bath and gazing in one's mirror . . . ahhhh, yes, such a body--touched by the master . . . hot stuff.

And that's not counting bragging rights.

Nor is it counting the potential for publicity, noise, hoopla and blackmail money--at least for those given to wild fantasies.

This is getting silly....and exposes the LATimes more than Arnold.

First the LAtimes said it took 7 weeks to investigate the first women who came forward. (Which of course was a lie...they got the info from Premiere Magazine and sat on it till the end.) But their line was, it took that long to edit and check for accuracy.

So what's happening now.... The LATimes is publishing over night, over the transom names without checking the facts! It's a joke for the LATimes to say Gray Davis didn't have any part in this. He didn't have to!!!! The LATimes is an independent branch of the Gray Davis Campaign.

Of course the LA Slimes still doesn't see fit to print any of the allegations about Gray Davis' ragaholic verbal and physical attacks on his staff, including shoving a 60 year old female secratary out of the room. No, it would be unfair to print such allegations against a (RAT) politician based on anonamous accusations.

It would take nothing to create a story like the ones we're hearing now. All you'd have to do is be assoicated with him through a movie or event, as thousands have been over the years. Then think up a harrassment situation. No witnesses, no proof. These women get their names in the news and they probably are paid, anyway. What's to lose from their standpoint? I don't see ANY of it going anywhere, and the allegations are not convicing.

Some here believe it all, some that I would never suspect it of. People sure can be gullible, no wonder Democrats get control of so much and manage to smear so many. It IS time to fight back in a real way. How can we?

The Davis Touch: A Democratic operative is behind part of the Times’ latest story
LA Weekly ^ | 10-4-03 | Bill Bradley
Posted on 10/04/2003 1:43 PM PDT by ambrose

OCTOBER 3 - 9, 2003

The Davis Touch
A Democratic operative is behind part of the Times’ latest story
by Bill Bradley

The L.A. Times has a story Saturday about three more women who allege that gubernatorial front-runner Arnold Schwarzenegger engaged in sexual misconduct over the years. Schwarzenegger, on his bus tour north of Fresno, said charges in Saturday’s story "are absolutely untrue."

The Times maintains that none of the women came forward at the behest of Schwarzenegger’s opponents. That claim, however, is looking increasingly dubious. One of the three women in the story says she came forward at the urging of Jodie Evans, described by the Times as a peace activist and "co-founder of the women’s peace group Code Pink." At best, this is an incomplete, misleading description

Here’s what the newspaper should have said about Evans. She is actually a former close colleague of Gov. Gray Davis, a longtime Democratic operative and a friend of noted Democratic hit man Bob Mulholland. Evans is also the ex-wife of Westside financier Max Palevsky, the man who gave Gray Davis his first job in politics as the fund-raiser in Tom Bradley’s 1973 mayoral campaign.

Oops! Someone should have told John Carroll, the Times editor and anti-bias crusader.

Evans worked closely with Davis in the administration of Gov. Jerry Brown. While Davis served as Brown’s chief of staff, Evans was Brown’s chief fund-raiser and director of administration in the governor’s office.

Why didn’t the Times give an accurate description of Evans, who has pushed at least one woman to come forward with last-minute charges? On the campaign bus outside Fresno just now, I asked veteran Times columnist George Skelton, who acknowledges the reality of Evans’ deep ties to Davis and the Democrats, why the Times described her so disingenuously.

"Maybe the reporters and editors just didn’t know," he says.

The Times is presenting itself authoritatively on these matters. If the Times doesn’t know where the stories are coming from, what else does it not know? If the Times is not ignorant about these connections, that is whole different kettle of fish.

As most Californians know by now, Davis is the champion of negative campaigning and has nearly perfected the strategy of last-minute allegations breaking in the final days of the campaign. It should not be surprising to Times Mirror Square that his fingerprints appear on at least the latest story.

The LA Times has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy overplayed their hand. They got caught being an outhouse for the DNC, and now they are overplaying their hand further to cover up their own manure. They also violated the journalistic "ethic" (if they have any) of allowing Arnold to respond the allegations before they went to print.

They never did this....and I hope it backfires on them.

"The latest findings are based on interviews conducted between Sept. 26 and Oct. 4 with likely voters in California. The survey was done by Knowledge Networks (http://www.knowledgenetworks.com/ganp) in collaboration with the Stanford-Hoover group. The poll showed continued support for the recall with approximately 59 percent still in favor of the recall and support for Schwarzenegger increasingly slightly to 43 percent."

Arnold Increases His Lead Due To Voter Backlash Against Dirty Politics

'Tis a thing of beauty to see the LA Times' strategy of a hit per day against Arnold backfiring, and instead working **for** the Gubernator!

I wonder if we could round up 5 women to call up the LA Times and start making baseless accussations toward Davis if the would deem that newsworthy enough to print? . . . </rhetorical>

I guess I've been around here for about 6 years or so now. Time sure flies!

When Jim Robinson started this site, it was because he was fed up with the liberal media, and how they would not let people worldwide know about the corruption of the Clinton Administration. A few of us, equally concerned, (with great luck) found it fast.

In the early days, FR was a day-to-day operation, always on the brink of bankruptcy. Jim kept on, and we chipped in when it became too much. We knew how important this site was, and is. Sometimes, it came down to the wire, and we wrote checks, and sent them in, as best we could.

Look at it now. We all get our best information from this site. It is huge, with thousands of posters, and millions of readers. Yet Jim still keeps it alive because of his conviction, and he is absolutely NOT making a profit on it. He just believes. As do we.

BTW, did you know that the founder of this site is in a wheelchair (sorry Jim; I know you think it doesn't make a r*ts a$$ difference. Hey, some folks out there need to come down a peg, like I have.).

Think of it! In the darkest days of the Clinton Administration, there was a lone internet site where people with integrity, brains, and sheer gumption could discuss the dangers faced by the US. Not on CNN, for sure.

Earthmovers like Drudge, Ann Coulter, Rush, WFBuckley, his brother, Savage, Buchanan, both houses of Congress (many) check in to see what we think.

The opposition checks it out, too. Like the NY times staff, CNN, AFL-CIO, China, etc. Trust me, they all come here to read. Even YOUR post. You know by now how they are whining about Rush? We're next, as soon as they figure out how they can trash this site without it getting a million hits.

I've been broke; I've been not broke. I've slept in my car. I know how it feels to be squeezed tight with bills. Folks with giant bills: You're not alone, and you have friends here. :)

If you love this site as much as I do, please, please sign up for automatic payment of just $3 per month. Don't be embarrassed if you think this is too little. It absolutely is not. You $3 a month folks are our grassroots movement heroes. Be proud. Become one of the thousand points of light here, and you will so feel proud every month. We'll thank you for it, and are so glad to have you on board.

I know things are rough out there. But you are tough, and a member of the greatest grassroots freedom movement in 100 years. Together we are making history, and will change the world, as we already have. The best is yet to come.

Most countries out there would consider this website illegal. They hate us, for our freedom. Their systems cannot stand, in the face of Freedom. The people there read us when they can, when they are “allowed” to, and are not being tortured. They flock to us, America, because they want to be free. Help us help them.

Would you please, please consider signing up for just $3 a month? Please? That’s all it takes, really, believe it or not. You will make a world of difference, to, well, the world. Be proud, Americans, and please help out!

As another article summed up the situation: " Gray Davis and Cruz Bustamante couldn't grab your breasts even if they wanted to: Their hands are too full of Indian casino money and tripled car tax and giveaway driver's licenses for illegal aliens. The story here is that California is in crisis. And if it stays in the hands of its sleazy incompetent political establishment, the crisis will become terminal."

That's a pretty good summation, I'd say.

If Rathner is 45, she was born in 1957 or 1958, depending on her birthday. That would make her around 21 in 1979.

OTOH, this was 24 years ago. Why did she wait until two days before the recall election to air her pain? Inquiring minds want to know.
