[history]
The Los Angeles Times and the Democrat corruption machine must be defeated!! No ifs, ands, or buts about it!
This is bigger than Schwarzenegger vs McClintock, bigger than Republican vs Democrat, and even bigger than conservative vs liberal. This is for our American way of life vs the dark side. Not just for California, but for all of America. The leadership of the Democrat Party and their official party platform of corruption, abortion, homosexualism, socialism, slavery to big government, slavery to over-taxation, slavery to terrorism and willing subjugation to foreign powers and world bodies is pure evil. Yes, I'd rather have a more conservative person than Arnold for California, but sorry folks, looks like the numbers aren't there. And I'm unwilling to take chances on allowing Davis to slip out of the recall or, even worse, to allow Bustamante to win the governorship.
Crushing liberalism is what Free Republic is all about. Gray Davis being recalled by the (mostly Democrat) people of California has got to be one of the greatest defeats for liberalism in recent history. And the additional rejection by the same democrat electorate of the ultra-liberal, illegal-alien-loving, tax-them-till-they-die, Cruz Bustamante will be the coup de grâce!
The Democrats are pulling out all the stops on this one. They see losing California as what it is, a death blow for liberalism. The people of California are sending the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, the Democrat Party, and Bill & Hillary Clinton a great big rejection slip!
No thanks! Your liberalism, socialism, corruption and evil murderous programs are not welcome!
Send them your own personal message and slap in the face and one they cannot misinterpret and will not soon forget.
Terminate Gray Davis! Terminate Cruz Bustamante! And terminate the idiot Democrat Party and their complicit partners in crime, the Los Angeles Times, et al!
Vote Yes on Recall and vote Yes for the Terminator!!

For those who have doubts about Arnold and Rush and William Bennett and others, I thought the Wall Street Journal said it best:
"...although conservatives think that character matters in public life, we have never bought into the idea that moral credibility is predicated on moral perfection.
If moral credibility were predicated on moral perfection, even our church pulpits would be silent. I'm sure liberals would not agree, but in my view, character has as much to do with how we handle our failings as the failings themselves."

Jim,
Ironically, the LA Times call the same day these allegations broke to offer me a subscription (incidentally it was the same day the NO-Call list went into affect). Boy did I give their telemarketer a piece of my mind. It's the only time I can remember a telemarketing calling that I was not at a loss for words.

I came to the exact same conclusion last Thursday when I unfurled that utterly predictable swath of filth that is the LA Times front page. So I bit the bullet and voted for Arnold, absentee. I hope he wins in a landslide.

The leadership of the Democrat Party and their official party platform of corruption, abortion, homosexualism, socialism, slavery to big government, slavery to over-taxation, slavery to terrorism and willing subjugation to foreign powers and world bodies is pure evil. Arnold supports abortion and gay marriage, so I guess he's only half-pure evil. And early in his campaign, he was talking about bringing business back to the state so the government could afford more social programs -- so I guess he's socialist, too, and maybe more like two-thirds evil.

My husband, really wavering until this weekend between Schwarzenegger and McClintock, finally decided to go with Schwarzenegger primarily because of the Hitler/groping/left wing media bias stuff.
I had decided Schwarzenegger a few weeks ago but now I simply CAN'T WAIT TO VOTE TOMORROW!
Tomorrow is going to be a great day.
To: JoeSchem
Crushing liberalism is what we're all about. We crush more of liberalism by taking out Davis and Bustamante than we do by crushing Arnold. That's the bottom line.

The bottom line is Davis must be defeated.
Food for thought: The clintons are poised to claim victory if the recall fails. It must not happen....he must be recalled, for all of our sakes.

I would vote for Arnold if in CA, but I believe the LAT has successfully manipulated the result.
I believe that the LA Times sat on the story because they concluded that if they took down Arnold earlier McClintock might win (heaven forbid), and that Arnold is the lesser of two evils from their perspective.
Think about it. By releasing the info 5 days before the election they look transparently biased, and must know that what they reveal will be viewed through that prism. They can say they've done their journalistic duty while having a relatively minimal impact on the final result.
Jill Stewart claimed on Fox today that the story has been ready for two weeks. Two weeks is before the one debate Arnold was in. A story just before the debate COULD have brought the walls tumbling down on Arnold, or at least blown the race wide open. And who knows how big the avalanche of "gropees" could have been? The guy who wrote the Premier Magazine article claimed on Drudge's radio show last night that the potential list is way longer than 15. By that time Busty had shown himself to be a total loser, so any movement would clearly have been towards McClintock. In that situation, the LAT decided to hold their fire to save Arnold.
I suspect Mr. Carroll and Co. at the LAT are toasting their cleverness at the moment, confident (perhaps falsely) that they can overcome this body blow to their credibility. They've pulled a Dunkirk maneuver, and they'll be back to fight another day.

I think it's not just the LA Times, it's the ENTIRE Mainstream Media (Remember it was ABC News that "Broke" the story about how Arnold "Admires Hitler" smear campaign.)
I used to support McClintock (hopefully he will run against Boxer, God help us if Simon gets the nomination) but seeing how the ENTIRE Media establishment is against Arnold, I have concluded Conservatives should roll the dice on Arnold and hope that there is more Arthur Laffer in him than Warren Buffet!

My Husband and I agree. As much as we prefer to vote for MCClintock, our votes will go to Arnold. The Democrats have gone too far. Clintons should have stayed out of it. Our votes are more against the Clintons than anything.
I will pray for Arnold and hope God touches his heart and he realizes Abortion is morally wrong. I wish every Pro Choice person would go into an Abortion Clinic, see what is being aborted than tell me they are Pro Choice. See the looks of the women before and after. They go in a daze and come out shattered. 8 times out of 10, it is a Man pushing to get the abortion. I think all abortions should be accompanied by the "Father". Let him also see the fruit of his loin being ripped into shreads. I'm sure sex would never be the same again for him. My apologies for getting off track.
