Not quite, it does change one thing. If Ahnold (or any Republican) is elected the whole mess can be scapegoated on Republicans with the zealous support of the media.

Too true. If elections actually changed things the government would find a way to do away with them.

They are working on that. The Florida Supreme Court tried it. The New Jersey Supreme Court did it. The Ninth Circuit Court in CA did what it could. Hitlery wants to eliminate the Electoral College. (That doesn't eliminate elections but it does make them a hollow charade. And a useful tool for tyrants.) The pretense of elections and a Constitutional Republic will be kept alive. The pretense of a living economy will be a little harder to pull off but ole Howie Dean will keep 'em smilin' with free healthcare and gay marriages.

It is critical to think out of the box, beyond California. For the clintons, the California recall election is no less than a proxy for their war with the Kennedys for the control of the Democrat Party (and the country).

EPILOGUE: THE 9TH CIRCUIT RULING

CLINTON PARADIGM PROVES INSTRUCTIVE FOR CALIFORNIA)

clinton: "This is WA-A-AY bigger than Gray Davis."
If ever there was a counterexample
to Tip O'Neill's old saw
("all politics is local"),
it is the recall.

Take the recall to its logical conclusion.

"except that you are sending a flood of jackasses to Kongress to inflict the same sort of misery on the rest of the country"

Sure , its all our fault, right. Can I remind you that not everyone in "Kali" is a socialist? For example- Jim Rob- founder of Free Republic lives here. Alot of Freepers and non-socilists live here. How do you think the re-call got started? See- un-like you, we are trying to do something about our problems, instead of blaming other states for them.

"Kalifornia is going right down the sh!tter to join workers' paradises like Cuba and North Korea" - such a ray of brightness and hope, aren't you? Really, you need to leave your cave more often. Get out in the sunshine, you'll feel better.

. Can I remind you that not everyone in "Kali" is a socialist?

Agreed, but so what? The majority is, and you've either let yourselves be gerrymandered so as to render any conservatives powerless, or there is such an overwhelming majority of the envious that Democrats/marxists control the state irrespective of the desires of of any conservatives who haven't escaped before it becomes illegal.

Further, I believe that the character of the elected representatives probably accurately reflects the character of the majority of the electorate. Since you have an overwhelmingly socialist set of representatives (only outdone by NY, MA, RI and maybe MD and NJ) I'd say the majority believes in the lies of Hegel and Marx as promulgated by the media and the government.

See- un-like you, we are trying to do something about our problems, instead of blaming other states for them.

You're going through some gestures that won't change anything. A lot of effort, emotion and money will be spent, but in the end, even if Ahnold is elected, Kali will still be a freedom hating, business hating, socialist peoples' democracy with those who work for a living being plundered to support those who whine for a living. You will still have gun control to make upChuckie Schemer and Sara Brady envious. You will still be overrun with illegal immigrants. The government will continue to plunder the hardworking and squander the looted largess on its own employees and "essential services" for illegal aliens. Your absurd air quality board will continue to mandate the repeal of the laws of physics. Your zoning boards will continue to make housing unaffordable. etc.

Kalifornia is going right down the sh!tter to join workers' paradises like Cuba and North Korea" - such a ray of brightness and hope, aren't you

I call it a realistic assessment of what's going on. No one in their right mind thinks that Ahnold is going to change anything. At best he's a propaganda slap in the face for Davis, the LA Slimes and the Democrats.

Really, you need to leave your cave more often

I'd say anyone who thinks the way you do, namely that electing Ahnold will "Save California", has their head in a dark place. You posted the statement that electing Ahnold will save Kaliforna. You're wrong. Electing Ahnold won't change a thing of substance with what's wrong with Kalifornia. At best it will be a propaganda victory, at worst it will do as TigerEye says and give the liberals a scapegoat to blame for the problems they've caused.

Yes, when confronting such evil, the only tactic for survival is to defend yourself from the start.

They will soon find out that Arnold is not even a fiscal conservative. It is probably well if McClintock is not elected. He would institute truly conservative economic measures and, realistically, they would fail to save their economy and provide the false example that conservative economic policies don't work.

Arnold does want to drill for oil ... in Washington D.C.!

So, you're solution for California's problems is too let the 'RATS have it. Turn it into a suburb of tijuana. Wait for the Socialists to totally destroy it? Like I Said your sunshine and hope.

Turn it into a suburb of tijuana

I thought it already is.

Wait for the Socialists to totally destroy it?

It took the Soviets 75 years to totally destroy Russia, but what has risen from the ashes is better than before. I think that Kalifornia is lost to the socialists already. The way to reverse it it to repeal the oppressive environmental regulations regulations of all sorts, stop the wealth transfer from those who work to those who don't. If you're poor, work harder, spend less and save more and then you won't be poor. The answer isn't to level the scorecard by taking it from those who worked for it and giving it to your supporters. Until the majority of the electorate stops voting themselves plunder from other people's pockets, then yes, I guess my answer is to let the socialists destroy it, because nothing else will get through to the people who willingly vote for Feistein, Waxman, Perata (sp?)

I Said your sunshine and hope.

Nope I'm not - just realistic, and sunshine and hope aren't called for.

McClintock didn't take money from indian tribes, they expended their money on independant advertisments the he had no control over

Don't be mean by taking away the one of the surrender monkeys' justifications for voting for their pro-gun-control, pro-abortion, pro-welfare-for-illegals, pro-enviro-nazi, pro-homosexual adoption candidate.
