One just copies and pastes the html from the source page. The only tricky detail is finding the beginning and ending of the portion you want.

Except for a few minutes about an hour ago, I couldn't get through to the California state page either. I'd guess a combination of the state web server being overloaded and the luck of draw on how close your ISP's servers happen to be to the California State servers, over the internet.

Why do Dems keep losing?

I just don't understand what is happening here. First was 
2000, when the election was so close that it could be 
stolen. Then, it was 2002 when we lost seat after seat in 
Congress. Now, it's California.

They are literally bankrupting our country, turning the 
treasury over to the rich and corporate interests, and 
gutting every social program.

How and why do they keep winning? Why are people voting 
against their own interests? What are we missing here?
