Tell me, when was the last time that you sacrificed as the law commands? Have you decided to substitute the teachings of man to excuse your lack of sacrifice as commanded by the law?

Of course not. Sacrifices have stopped, becuase the Temple is no longer there.

We were given an alternative.

Hosea 3
4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their G-d, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

Hosea 14 2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.

The 'calves' (sacrifices) of our lips! Sacrifices were to be replaced with PRAYER!

Just thought I would cut to the chase.

Yeah, me too!

God did make a way, he provided the sacrifice by incarnating as a man and substituting himself on the appointed day as the prefect sacrifice. He entered the city 10 days before as required by the law too.

Wrong! G-d didn't want 'human' sacrifices. That's why YHVH, in Genesis 22, replaces Isaac with a Ram! What more 'visual' do you need? YHVH wanted to see if Abraham would 'obey'. When YHVH knew that Abraham meant to follow through and sacrifice his only son, YHVH called out to Abraham, and stopped him. Then YHVH brought forth a Ram, to be sacrificed.

Matthew 9:13
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Mark 12
32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one G-d; and there is none other but he:
33 And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
34 And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, Thou art not far from the kingdom of G-d. And no man after that durst ask him any question.

Isaiah 1:11
To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

Psalm 51
16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of G-d are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart
, O G-d, thou wilt not despise.

1 Samuel 15:22
And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

Hosea 6
6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of G-d more than burnt offerings.

Psalm 40
6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

Throughout the Jewish scriptures, the prophets declared that repentance and charity are more pleasing to YHVH for atonement than a blood sacrifice.

YHVH tells us that he doesn't want sacrifice, Yeshua tells us that he doesn't want sacrifice

Do you really think YHVH wanted human sacrifices? Human sacrifice is an abomination.

YHVH didn't want sacrifice. He wanted us to understand and obey Him, and when we fell, to repent with a contrite heart and get back on the path of obedience to Him.

Leviticus 18
21   And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy G-d: I am the LORD.

Leviticus 20
2   Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones.
3   And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to defile my sanctuary, and to profane my holy name.
4   And if the people of the land do any ways hide their eyes from the man, when he giveth of his seed unto Molech, and kill him not:
5   Then I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit whoredom with Molech, from among their people.

Molech from the Hebrew
4432 Molek mo'-lek from 4427; Molek (i.e. king), the chief deity of the Ammonites:--Molech. Compare 4445.
Molech = "king"
1) the god of the Ammonites and Phoenicians to whom some Israelites sacrificed their infants in the valley of Hinnom

Deuteronomy 12
31   Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy G-d: for every abomination to the LORD, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

Deuteronomy 18
10   There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch.

Throughout the Bible human sacrifice is hated by G-d.

Jeremiah 7
22   For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:
23   But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your G-d, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

From your last few comments it sounds like it is YOU that is being vindictive, and accusing me of blasphemy. I use scripture to back up my comments.

Why two candles to be lit on Shabbat?

Shabbat involves two interrelated commandments. 2 candles 1)Zachor: To Remember, 2) Shamor: To Observe
To remember the significance of Shabbat, both as a commemoration of creation and as a commemoration of the freedom from slavery in Egypt. In ancient times, leisure was confined to certain classes; slaves did not get days off. Thus, by resting on Shabbat, people are reminded that they are free. But in a more general sense, Shabbat frees people from their weekday concerns, from their deadlines and schedules and commitments.

Why is the afkioman broken, hidden and redeemed?

Zephaniah
6 Them also that are turned back from following HaShem; and those that have not sought HaShem, nor inquired after Him.
17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against HaShem; and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung.
Judah - broken - punished for sins, not seeking afthe the ways of YHVH

Zephania 2
3Seek ye HaShem, all ye humble of the earth, that have executed His ordinance; seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be ye shall be hid in the day of HaShem'S anger.
7 And it shall be a portion for the remnant of the house of Judah, whereon they shall feed; in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening; for HaShem their G-d will remember them, and turn their captivity.
A 'portion' shall be 'hidden', the righteous are hidden/protected. 'And turn their captivity' - end their exile in slavery.

Which of course leads to, you guessed it, their redemtion.

Zephaniah 2
9 Therefore as I live, saith HaShem of hosts, the G-d of Israel: Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding-place of nettles, and saltpits, and a desolation, for ever; the residue of My people shall spoil them, and the remnant of My nation shall inherit them.
14 Sing, O daughter of Zion, shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
15 HaShem hath taken away thy judgments, He hath cast out thine enemy; The King of Israel, even HaShem, is in the midst of thee; thou shalt not fear evil any more.
17 17 HaShem thy G-d is in the midst of thee, a Mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over thee with joy, He will be silent in His love, He will joy over thee with singing.'
20 At that time will I bring you in, and at that time will I gather you; for I will make you to be a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I turn your captivity before your eyes, saith HaShem.
Redemption

Incidentally, this is a recurring theme, it is repeated in Isaiah, as well as in Jeremiah.

Jeremiah 3
6   The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.
7   And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.
8   And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
9   And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.

1 Corinthians 10
1   Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
2   And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
3   And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4   And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
5   But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
6   Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
7   Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
8   Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
9   Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
10   Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
11   Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
12   Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
13   There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
14   Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.

Do you understand your Jewishness from a perspective of Torah, or Rabinical Judaism?

Torah

Do not take Torah in vain. To use Torah to hurt and not heal is blasphemy.

I haven't taken the Torah in vain. The Torah is to unite people. The Torah is YHVH's instruction. I have posted with that intent.

When one is adopted into a family, one is expected to adhere to the rules set forth by that family. The children in that family are all treated the same. The adopted child doesn't get to stay up later just because they are adopted. The adopted child doesn't get an extra serving of desert because they are adopted. The adopted child adjusts to the new family's rules and guidelines and doesn't demand that the family adapt to the adoptee's wishes.

Have a nice day. I'm done with this thread and with you.

You will remember, and you will observe.

Blessed be the Lord our God who brings the light of Messiah to the Earth, twice...

I think Abba has a thing to teach both branches.

Blessings on ya,
Shabbat Shalom
