ANOTHER RECALL WILL BE THE END OF THE DEMOCRATS
Self | October 8, 2003 | Gargantua

Posted on 10/08/2003 8:08:18 AM PDT by Gargantua

Maxine Waters began her expected screed last night on Chris Matthews' show as the first results started rolling in. Despite his unrealistic prediction that Bustamante would win, Matthews did his best to take this one on the chin. He's nothing if not an effective chameleon.

Waters, by contrast, swore that if Arnold won, there would be another immediate recall of him. She and the Democrats would do well to leave that threat where it belongs... on the cutting room floor.

The voters in California have done some odd things over the years, but none was more amazing or unexpected than 62% of the state's voters pulling the Republican lever yesterday.

Between votes cast for Arnold and McClintock, 62% of the voters in a Democrat state voted Republican. They were making a strong statement. Now, factor in a record turnout. We're talking sea change, firends.

The voters gave their firm opinion on a number of issues, and the Democrats should listen well. Hopefully, they won't...

The voters said that they were tired of campaign smears as a way of political life, and ignored the attempted Democrat assassination of Arnold's character.

They said that they didn't believe that Bush or the White House or the Republicans were responsible for California's financial crises (plural).

Last but by no means least, they said that they were sick to death of the Liberal Democrats' destruction of the American Dream.

California used to be a beckoning torch on the shore for people who dreamed of a better life, even if those people already lived here in America. Now, people and businesses are leaving in droves after having been mauled by the Big Cal Government abuses of the peoples' successes.

If Maxine and the "Teddy Kennedy Syndrome" blatting, snivelling Democrats follow through on their promise to attempt another recall, this time of Arnold, there will be political Hell to pay.

It is predictably too much to ask that a Liberal see, acknowledge, and/or guide his or her actions based upon the facts of a situation... they never have done so, and they likely never will. Frankly, if they could do so, they wouldn't be Liberals.

But the Democrats in California and across America just got hit in the mouth with a two-by-four. And I mean hammered. If they cannot recognize this for exactly what it is, then their lumps are just beginning.

The voters already said "Enough with the slimey, nasty tactics." And they shouted it like a political primal scream. Conservatives can only hope that the Democrats are so blind, so deaf, and so stupid that they try to recall Arnold out of spite.

The fallout will be so huge, so deafening, it will make the current Democrat "CIA leak" concoction disappear from the radar screens.

And that can only be a good thing for America.

What if anything do these people believe in? I hope they keep it up because it's going to keep Bushie is the White House for another 4 years.

Dunno ... those in a deluded state see and interpret things far differently than you or I do ... denial, a large part in this (their failure to admit to themselves that their ideal, their goals are problemetic insofar as they do not parallel most of America's) further fuels their entrechment in a delusional, 'make-believe' state ...

Un-anchored from any objective truths; devoid of any belief system/even a *cursory* or 'working knowledge' of right and wrong - these people seem to 'float' in their actions, beliefs ...

I've already seen bumper stickers here that say RECALL THE RECALL.

The biggest question, Maxine, is who will pay for the next one?

You know, I was sitting in Apple Valley Hospital, Apple Valley, CA, with my dad. We were watching the riots on TV, just after the verdict. When Waters came on, oh, about 5pm... every channel carried it. My cousin in Garden Grove saw it on ABC. I was watching NBC. I wouldn't know how to find it other than looking up the stations archives... Maybe someone like Savage has the resources to look it up? I have had it with Waters and the others, saying racist, provoking things and getting away with it. Those comments of hers should have gotten her reprimanded and expelled from being a US Congress Representative!!!

You bet. I almost wish they would try it. It would only piss off most of the people, that are already pissed off.

The biggest question, Maxine, is who will pay for the next one?

Major Garrett reported last night (around midnight EDT, I believe) that there was already $3 million on the table to finance a recall of Arnold, so money is no problem.

Garrett also reported that there was a firestorm of controversy brewing in the upper Democrat circles about how to respond to Arnold. Some wanted to demonize him and thwart his every move and others thought it would best in the long run to be cooperative.

Perhaps Maxine can get Arianna to head the recall ticket?

If they DON'T cooperate with Arnold, they'll be toast, which is a GOOD thing, as Martha Stewart would say.

This recall election is the first time we get a chance to guage the validity of the Democrat's mantra-du-jour about how the voters are blaming the economy, etc., on Bush and the Republicans.

As hard as it is for them to take this loss, it is even harder for them to admit what this loss really means.

Their Liberal squealing and mud-slinging is falling on deaf ears. The voters actually like America, and are for the most part patriots.

It's the worst news the Liberal Dems could get. Their grand scheme has been discovered to be just that, and America doesn't want any part of it.

Yes, it was a few days ago, but Christodamus predicted an "upset" by Bustamante as a result of the alleged Arnold womanizing. The dolt.

I just visited another political discussion site for the first time. I won't say which one, but I will say they weren't Republicans. (Duh...)

What a bunch of IDIOTS! I read about 4 posts and had to leave before I blew lunch! I'd expect more insight and intelligence from a high school chat room. Funny that these guys see themselves as the enlightened, forward-thinking academicians among us. Funny and a little bit sad.... NAH!!!

Those poor imbeciles don't have a working brain between them, and I'm not kidding. Unreal.

"This recall election is the first time we get a chance to guage the validity of the Democrat's mantra-du-jour about how the voters are blaming the economy, etc., on Bush and the Republicans. "

And I love the fact that a good portion of Dims told hacks and pollsters one thing....but when it came to the moment of truth, in the booth, they did the RIGHT thing.

This must be disturbing to them.

Make no mistake. They have declared open war on what America is, and on the Repub party, on white males, and on the middle class.

They now think that they're socialism has infiltrated our thinking and institutions to the point of "going for it all" in a revolution of sorts.

They may have picked a fight with the wrong people...

I think 2004 is going to be a very rude wake-up call for the anti-American, anti-war, anti-Bush Democrats. Their prognosticators will try in the meanwhile (with the aid of the liberal lap-dog press) to make their claims to the contrary become self-fulfilling predictions, but the voters are going to b**ch-slap 'em in dey own house.
