[history]
Gov.-elect Schwarzenegger today unveiled a transition team whose ideological breadth could bridge the Central Valley. It runs from Bill Simon on the right to Willie Brown on the left and includes just about every imaginable spot in between. Despite Simon's presence, the team does not appear heavily weighted to the right. Most of the Republicans are of the more moderate stripe - people like former Assemblywoman Charlene Zettel and former state Sen. Rebecca Morgan. One of the more notable names on the list is Tammy Bruce, former president of the LA chapter of the National Organization for Women and a member of the group's board of directors. She was a Schwarzenegger supporter during the campaign.

I would guess Estrich might be a thank-you for her strong condemnation of the LA TIMES for their slime stories. At any rate, it's certainly an interesting group.

Tammy Bruce is actually a great selection, she's very pro-2A and does not sit well with the current establishment of the American feminist groups.
And unlike Allred or Estrich or most others, she's not a shrill banshee. She's quite capable and intelligent.
But I just can't see how she fits into a Schwarzenegger team. I fear her talents will go unused and wasted.

Well, it seems that some of you only want to focus on the negative. Simon, Dreier and Carona are decent choices. There is a definite potential for "paralysis by analysis" in this administration as Arnold gets tugged from one direction to another by his wacky band of misfit advisors.

Whatever. I have my own recommendations for the new governor's staff, which I believe also span a spectrum:
Press spokesperson: Tom Arnold
Adviser for Women's Issues: Mary Carey
Liaison to Casino Tribes: Sacheen Littlefeather
Environmental Tsar: Ed Begley, Jr.
Homeland Security: Bruce Willis
etc.

Tammy Bruce is a lesbian? Well why be surprised Arnold sees nothing wrong with homos. He's a social liberal. He fails to get it that they are NOT normal and not to be in a position of authority much less trust their judegment. If they can't get it right as to who they are attracted to what makes you think their judgement on POLITICAL issues won't be tainted by their DEmoncrat philosophy? Arnold is screwing up ... already.

Arnold the pig, NEVER had my support or respect. Why oh why should freepers be surprised? Freepers supporting this guy are not better than partisan hacks who supported ole Bill. He too favored homosexuals, abortion, groped women and had some nasty views of women. Yet because Arnold was a RHINO that was to be over looked. Hey, you reap what you sow - HYPOCRITES!

Tammy Bruce is indeed an excellent choice. Her book The Death of Right and Wrong should be a must-read by every parent with kids in school.
As a former president of the Los Angeles Chapter of NOW and a lesbian, she takes on the left and exposes them for the hypocrites and dangerous people that they are.

But Schwarzenegger has certainly, with this list, delivered the message that he intends to govern from the center while reaching out to both the left and the right. That's what Californian's wanted. Someone to govern from the center. Arnie's fulfilling their trust in him. This will be a left leaning-centrist administration in Sacremento. No one should be surprised. The big question is, can the Wilsonite's who are behind Arnold, eventually balance the state budget without tax increases. I don't see how they can. The education budget is off limits and social welfare spending is for all intents and purposes, off limits too. What's left to cut? Not much.

These lists are not always meaningful, of course. They are meant, more than anything, to set a tone and send early signals about a new administration's direction. The names on the list become conduits for people seeking an appointment in the government. But Schwarzenegger has certainly, with this list, delivered the message that he intends to govern from the center while reaching out to both the left and the right. Message:
Arnold is here to get a job done, not to play politics.
Also, by pulling in some leftists -- note, that they accepted the positions -- he outfoxed them by keeping them on his side, instead of working against him.
As they say, the best way to get rid of an enemy, is to make him your friend.
At the same time, Arnold has no illusions, he is not compromising his "cure" for what ails CA, that's why you see Simon, Brulte, and the president of the Jarvis foundation there as well.
It was a clever move. Looks like Arnold figured out a strategy of how to deal with the Democrats -- don't forget they hold most key statewide positions. Now the Democrats can't accuse him of partisanship and use that excuse to undermine his efforts. With this move he pulled the rug out from under them. He will listen to everyone, but make his own decisions.

One of the more notable names on the list is Tammy Bruce, former president of the LA chapter of the National Organization for Women and a member of the group's board of directors.
This lady was the head witch of an organization which considers the continued killing of 3000 unborn innocent babies everyday the most important issue in the country. Not that this surprises me but I don't see how it can be supported.
Arnold is turning into a hideous devil. Within hours of the recall he is now cementing his goals of welcoming the Illegal Immigrant Invasion and furthering the American Holocaust of Abortion.
Can't wait till the convention.

Tammy Bruce is a national treasure and her book The Death of Right and Wrong takes on the left in a way that would remind you of Ann Coulter.
Given her background, she is believable when she talks about what a danger the left is to the security of the country and to the education of our young people.

If Arnold is a skilled leader/politician he will get Brown on board, for what has to be done. Willie will interface with the liberal nutcases in the legislature.
Let the sausage-making begin.
To: TomasUSMC
Tammy Bruce has left NOW and she absolutely destroys the left in her book The Death of Right and Wrong. The woman had her eyes opened years ago and warns about the dangers of liberals.
She is a national treasure and her book is a must read to everyone with a child in public schools.

"He will listen to everyone, but make his own decisions."That's exactly what his wife Maria said in a speech I saw and why I supported, campaigned for and voted for Arnold--notwithstanding differing views on some issues. She said Arnold sees no harm in hearing all points of view. Then he goes with his gut and what he feels is right. This is California as well and I fought for Simon and it was a lesson learned. His administration is going to be so much fun to watch...
