How many times does Jim have to tell you to shut the hell up? Jim Robinson hasn't told ckca to be quiet; all he's said is that he's not interested in getting involved.
Don't bore him with facts, he enjoys his little flights of fancy.

You know, that itty bitty bit of condesion in your post is ever so cute, just like that sweetsie dismissive quality you had in your last post to me. I'm astonished and a bit hurt that you'd think that of me! Just like the distinguished gentleman from the other side of the aisle -- the chancellor, I mean -- I'm just here to have a discussion about an article.

One malcontent defending another.Amazing how they flock together. Based upon comments he personally made under his prior screen name, "One_Particular_Harbour," CP claims to be a nudist who enjoys porn and strip clubs. Wonder what he and his fellow birds here share in common?

You risk your eternal salvation here, Sink. Now you've entered the realm of the galactically stupid.

The article you reference was copyrighted, but it's uncharitable to assume it was used without permission. It's not only uncharitable, it lacks common sense. Catspaw, I'm quite sure that the quotes were used with both the knowledge and consent of the copyright holder.

And CP's basic premise has been derailed and forgotten. That is success. The basic premise has been reinforced with every post.

If you're concerned that much about the distant future, maybe you should spend less time posting on Free Republic and more time having children. Teach them your viewpoint and tell to them to do the same with their children. In a few generations there could be thousands of Chancellor Palpatines to outvote those scary Reconstructionist homeschoolers.Nicely put. After all, that's how I'm planning converting this country to my own values, and away from the Democrats, liberals, and atheists. Of course, it may take multiple generations, but I'm patient. The way I figure it, as long as they're practicing abortion-on-demand (and I'm not) I think my plan wins by default.
Political struggles are rarely won by default. They require eternal vigilance. We must all work to defend parent rights--including the right to educate one's own children according to one's own beliefs at home--from prying government busybodies.
Provided this defense is in place, then yes we win by demographics, just as the old Roman Empire was Christianized by births rather than conversions.
After all, the left doesn't really like mankind, so they certainly don't like children. That's why they have so few of them and the ones they do permit to leave the womb they promplty hand over to others to take care of while they go off to activists jobs to reshape the world. Of course, in so doing, they neglect the teachings of their intellectual masters, for wasn't it Stalin who told us, "The hand that rocks the cradle rules the world?"

Wonder what he and his fellow birds here share in common?Me? Well, it's too cold to be a nudist in Wisconsin. Don't do strip clubs--I get no thrill from watching another woman take off her clothes. And porn? Ditto.
I do like pro football, but living in Green Bay, that's not even an option. I enjoy sailing and fishing. Can't hunt since my shoulder injury about a decade ago, but I was a pretty good shot before that, I must say.
And you?

I still haven't heard your reponse to my suggestion...is it because the thought of a thousand Palpatines is a bit too much, even for you? =)

Catspaw, I'm quite sure that the quotes were used with both the knowledge and consent of the copyright holder. The magazine or the author holds the copyright? The author is an associate prof at Liberty U's school of law, and Jerry Falwell spoke at Moore's rally, so I'm sure he gave his permission for Moore's lawyers to use the article. I do hope that they credited it properly because it wasn't their original work. The wording isn't exactly the norm for pleadings.

Oh, I'm at my kid limit, thats for certain - not a socialist in the bunch, either. Good American materialists, who like the notion that they live in a nation where their opportunities are boundless, that they can pursue any career they want, and aren't trapped by their gender as women are in unenlightened cultures and societies.
I wouldn't think y'all would understand that.
