Dr. Rice recently appeared as a guest of Marcus Grodi on EWTN's program The Journey Home

You can listen to his story by clicking on the following link. Noah Lett's extraordinary conversion story is also at this link. He was raised in an agnostic home, became a Lutheran minister and converted to catholicism in 1995, following an extraordinary series of ..... well, let him tell you his story.

This is a 2 part story. To gain a greater understanding of how God called Dr. Rice to a 'healing' ministry, click on the link to the previous story. Regardless of how you feel about pentecostal ministry, Dr. Rice's story is truly humbling.

Even more humbling is Noah Lett's conversion story. He appeared last Monday on The Journey Home. Keep in mind that any time a protestant minister 'comes home', he must leave behind his ministry, a congregation, and oftentimes friends and family who do not understand their conversion. These converts have often traveled an emotional road, out of genuine and sincere faith in Jesus Christ. Their faith only serves to strengthen ours.

The more of the Journey Home Shows I listen to, the more I am convince becoming Catholic is the right thing for me to do. Before I became interested in this, I would NEVER have listened to a religious service on the radio, let alone expend the effort to download or listen to them on the internet.

Now I can't seem to listen enough. I am so thankful for this source of inspiration. I'm listening to Noah Lett's story as I type this...mercy!

Peace:)

Wow.

Not an earthshaking moment like Dr. Rice's, but when I went up to be blessed (not to receive) from the priest on Ash Wednesday, as I crossed my arms for a blessing he held the Host up before me, and there was absolutely no doubt in my heart that I was looking at Our Lord in the priest's hands. Very fervent "Amen!" on my part, believe me.

"So when Anita and I went up to receive Communion, I leaned over to the priest and said, 'Father, you dropped Jesus on the floor.' He got this blank look on his face, just stunned, and I said, 'May I have the privilege of rescuing Our Lord from the floor?' and he said, 'Yes, of course.  And so I went up to the sanctuary area, leaned over, and picked Jesus up off the floor"

How does this square with the verse that says...

"At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect--if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time.

"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it."

Alex, why don’t you discuss the issue you have — whatever it is — on this thread. It is an open thread.

I am thinking you are very upset about this, probably becuase you knew this person previously.

So how does this former Pentecostal deal with the rampant evolutionism and Biblical criticism in the Catholic Church, which is made all the more hypocritical by its belief in miracles like this?

God gave this guy the gift of healing...Filled him with the Holy Spirit...How many people died while under this man's ministry??? So for 33 years, this guy led the congregations of 6 churches astray and into Hell...

And God realized His mistake and sent this person to the Catholic church...

If this fella was healing people and led by the spirit before he became Catholic, which spirit do you think it was...No doubt it was the same spirit that led him to your church...And the same spirit that works in him today...

In Matthew Chapter 10 He called the apostles together and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out and heal all manner of sickness. In Mark 16 He says in My Name they shall cast out devils, speak with new tongues, take up serpents, they shall lay their hands upon the sick and they shall recover.

The gifts are for a sign...The signs are for the Jews...

This guy is not qualified to teach the bible let alone be a pastor...

Catholics are a gullible lot...
