=== Speaking of contempt, I'll never forget your comments about George W. Bush on 9/11.
Yeah yeah ... but will you ever have the stones to actually link them? Go ahead, make my day. I got tired of doing it for you years ago. This particular canard's sounding dog-tired these days, Sink.
=== Your contempt for the Bushes knows no bounds.
I didn't say anything about "the Bushes". I said only that it doesn't help for popular, powerful politicians to go around making statements like "I'm a better man" for having met with Log Cabin Republicans who define themselves first and foremost by their practicing homosexuality.
(You know, Sink, gotta hand it to the Pubs on this one. GOP's definitely "top man" where homosexuality's concerned.
Who's to blame Democrat men for being emasculated when the leadership's been pear-shaped for years: fangtoothed bulldykes and lipstick pantsuits enforcing "Litmus Tests. Little wonder PETA's perpetual striptease affords it a perpetually outsized constituency of human animals.
At least Republican women still can swoon over the carefully closeted, Barbara Bush can try in vain to set-up Souter and both gays and straights alike can admire the plethora of Action Figure bomber jackets, uniforms, roustabouts and ranchhands on parade these days.
Win:win in this particular lose:lose situation, I guess.)

Could you possibly be more obtuse?

My natural father, Pope St. Pius X, Pope St. Pius V, Pope and Martyr, St. Peter are my Fathers. You are not. If I were, you'd be in bed by now, with no supper.

You found that obtuse?
It's a good thing I left out the line about Chinese tennis players, I guess.
Night, Sinkspur.

If you were, you'd have a black eye and busted lip by now. Are you a violent man?
Tell me, Irish, that it isn't so!
I'm aghast at this side of your personality!
You'd burn in hell, you know, for striking a cleric.

This is an appropriate thread as any for this post. I just watched an interview of our diocesan bishop who has just returned from his visit with the Pope. He reports the Pope's mind is sharp and strong but physically he is very weak. The visit lasted only a few minutes. The station showed clips of the meeting with Mahony prominently standing near the Pope. The Pope asked the bishop two questions: the number of new Catholics in the diocese and the number of priestly vocations. No word on the answer except the bishop gave some mumbo jumbo social gospel reply. What is most disturbing is I realized I've never seen or heard this bishop in person or on camera. He is, um, effeminate. I'll leave it at that.
The reporter also stated that due to the priestly shortage half the churches in Britain may be closing.

LOL! And crying big lavender tears, no doubt. It's always so funny to watch the keyboard warriors, whose lives are so pathetic that they feel compelled to live out false persona here on the net, start a threat fest then cry when they get one-upped. Now watch his tears of indignation or bluster explode on screen.
It's just priceless.

Do I correctly understand you to say that your bishop has the speech mannerisms of the SSAD-afflicted male?

This is sort of a "continuation" of the book I just finished: SEX EDUCATION The Final Plague. By Randy Engel.
http://www.mycatholicstore.com/sexedfinplag.html
Mrs. Engel outlines the history of how the Pro-Death, Anti-Family, sodomite loving Utopians instituted sex-ed first into the public then into the parochial school system--with the obvious intended results.
What was so utterly sickening was that the hierarchy in the Church (both American & Vatican--post mid-60's) nearly all stood by and let it happen.
Several clerics having open and intimate connections with planned barrenhood and related groups, and some later to be made bishops.
Askel, I know you've read The McHugh Chronicles:
http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a3926ba0b3bfa.htm Have you read this one from Engel? IMO--She is awesome.
I am further convinced that the biggest enemy of the Pro-Life/Family Movement is the church hierarchy-buracracy.
The cancerous Rot within the Church is very deep & wide...

This is rather pathetic, guys. I'd rather see some informed discussion on these threads than a game of "hurl the epithet". Try to show some proper Christian decorum or else regulate it to private replies.
To: Fifthmark
I agree. Just go back up the thread and see who threw the first stone.

When Egan refers to pro-lifers as "you pro-lifers" it does make you wonder.

"But if one strike thee on thy right cheek, turn to him also the other." False accusations have a way of sticking if one just lets them pass.

Go back up to the first paragraph and see if it leaves you with the impression that the author was addressing the American Church in particular.
Maybe it's just me.
