Was watching CBS News as The Gipper's body was being moved from his Library to begin the journey to DC. Dan Rather (that glorified talking head) recapped the event saying that we had just listened to, "Ruffles and Flourishes, Hail to the Chief and, what amounts to a SECULAR HYMN, America the Beautiful." Then he proceeds to butcher the words to the song. It seems these secularists and apostates never miss an opportunity to spit in the eye of God and the Christian faith...now, even hymns have been declared secular. When the President's body arrives at the Capitol Rotunda, the band is supposed to play Amazing Grace. I wonder how they'll re-interpret that as a secular hymn. What a pack of disrespectful, irreverent, spiritually bankrupt, MORONS!
"Without God, there is no virtue, because there's no prompting of the conscience. Without God, we're mired in the material, that flat world that tells us only what the senses perceive. Without God, there is a coarsening of the society. And without God, democracy will not and cannot long endure. If we ever forget that we're one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under." (from President Reagan's remarks on Aug. 23, 1984 in Dallas, TX)
Our nation stands at the abyss...
I stand corrected.
I find it amusing that someone who names him/herself after the Grand Inquisitor of Spain, a human fiend responsible for the burning to death of thousands of Jews and the expulsion of hundreds of thousands, should be bleating on about 'secular hymns'.
