FReeper ahadams2 died Friday afternoon, 9/3/2004 of a heart attack. May God rest his soul in peace. Thank you FReepers for your prayers.
My husband Arlin Adams died yesterday of a heart attack. He was OK at 1:00 p.m. when his Am Legion commander stopped by. I tried to call him at 3:00 when I left work and there was no answer, got home at 4:00 and he was already gone. Funeral arrangements are pending.
Over two decades ago while on a training exercise with the US Army, Arlin had suffered an injury to his lower back and leg which left him with chronic pain. I admire how brave he was as he dealt with the extreme pain which was part of his daily life. I am glad he is now free from that pain.
Thank you FReepers for being good friends and colleagues to Arlin. The 'Net and Free Republic in particular were an immense blessing to him.
Arlin's trust and faith was in the Lord Jesus Christ and had accepted the Lord's free gift of eternal life, so he is with the Lord now.
Peace,
Mrs. ahadams2
God bless you and your family at this difficult time.
My prayers for you and your husband.
Am sorry for your loss, thank you for informing us.
God's blessing and comfort to you, now and in the days to come.
Good bye Mr. Ahadams2.
God Bless.
Mrs. Adams, I am sorry for your loss. Prayers for your family and for his soul.

I dunno what's more fun, watching leftists be hysterical, or watching them sit around with their gears jammed...like this poor fool who thought pearls would make her fit in....
Your husband was a patriot to the end. God bless him for his service to our country. God bless you and the family and may He grant you comfort in these sad hours.

My prayers for Arlin, and for you and your family. He is in a much better place, now.
Glad to know those who know the Lord are going to get to meet the man.
My heartfelt prayers are with you. God has and will continue to bless you both.
Arlin Adams died of a sudden heart attack Friday 9/3/2004. Arlin is free from pain. Rejoice with me as I thank God for his life and thank Him for taking Arlin into His presence.
Arlin's sister is with me now.
Our kids and all the members of our family are travelling to be here today or tomorrow.
Thanks to each of you for being good friends to Arlin.
Mrs. ahadams2
Deep prayers for you, your family, and your husband's soul.
Prayers are with you and your family. God hold you all in the palm of His infinite hand.
I am just devastated by this news. I will miss him.
Prayers for you and Arlin.
Thaks for the PING, RBA..
Into Your hands, O merciful Savior, we coomend your servant Arlin. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, a sheep of Your own flock, a sinner of Your own redeeming. Receive Arlin into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorius company of the saints in light. Amen.
Mrs. Admas, May God's peace rest upon your spirit in this time of loss. May His comfort overflow into you. Please remember that you will always see Arlin in the faces of those blessed to be loved by your husband.
Prayers for you and yours.............
He was a better friend to us, keeping us abreast of all the developments in the Episcopal Church crisis, and keeping our spirits up.
I told him once or twice how much I appreciated the pings, even if I didn't always reply. Very glad now that I did that.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Grant to the departed eternal rest; let light perpetual shine upon them.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing." 2 Timothy 4: 7 & 8.
I have also found one of the readings from All Saints' Day, Ecclesiasticus 44: 1-15 ("Let us now praise famous men ...") applies to good men like Arlin.
I will have his honorable name placed on my parish prayer list.
I'm sorry for your sudden loss. May God ease your burden in the difficult time.
I will miss the loyalty and dedication ahadams2 displayed to our Lord Jesus here on this board until I finally meet him in paradise and we sing praises together. May God comfort you and your family.
I'm so sorry for your lose.
I'm sorry I can't type anymore right now.
Mrs. Adams,
I am so dreadfully sorry to hear this. Arlin has kept our spirits up here, kept us informed on church matters, always with good humor and grace. He will be sorely missed.
My family and I will be offering our most sincere prayers on his behalf and yours. I am certain from our fairly extensive correspondence that he was a man of strong and lively faith, and he is indeed with the Lord. May Christ, the Saints, and the angels comfort you in your loss.
When you have time, please let us know if there is any memorial to which we could send contributions in his name.
My condolances to you and your family, Mrs. Adams. May God comfort you and yours during this difficult time.
Prayers and condolences.
Thank you for posting this to the forum. Over the past year, your husband did a remarkable job of defending his faith and advising others of the reactions following the election of the openly gay bishop. May our Lord welcome him into His kingdom with open arms.
Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, make me holy
Body of Christ, be my salvation
Blood of Christ, let me drink your wine
Water flowing from the side of Christ, wash me clean
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
Kind Jesus, hear my prayer
Hide me within your wounds
And keep me close to you
Defend me from the evil enemy
And call me at the hour of my death
To the fellowship of your saints
That I might sing your praise with them
for all eternity, Amen.
we will put him on the Anglican Prayer list here in Dallas. God blessed the Free Republic with his devotion to His work and how Arlin shared it with other men and women who are devoted to the Lord and the Anglican tradition.
Please accept my condolences.
Be Seeing You,
Chris

This really saddens me.
I have gotten to know Arlin since the Gay Bishop fiasco. We have exchanged many interesting and private freep mails about local church news in your areas, other areas and mine.
Arlin did a fantastic job! We will miss his hard work and dedication in getting the real news out to us.
May the Good Lord hold you and your family in his arms as you go forth.
Peace!

Our prayers for your comfort, and Arlin's eternal peaceful rest.
It all ways hurts when a good Freeper joins the Lord, but this one hurts in a very personal way.
Arlin did such a great job as our data collector and spreader of the news and was so positive. We will miss him.
I manage the Mary garden at our church - I shall plant something in memory of Arlin that it will live on quietly as his work lived in this life. Brad Sandy
Is it psooible for you to somehow "grab" Arlin's ping list from one of his other threads, and ping this thread. Everyone will want to know..Many thanks..A very sad way to start the wekend..
Mrs. Adams,
Arlin always seemed to be in the best of spirits and deeply cared about the Church.
He was a fine man, and my prayers are with him and you. The Peace of God be always with you.
I don't have any words right now, just tears. God be with you.
Mrs. ahadams2, On behalf of the moderators, we are sending out prayers to you and your family.
Ken, Sorry we do not have that ability. We see what you see.
