I'll add him to the list of priests I always pray for. How long will his trip last?

Greetings from El Salvador!
Things are going well, and I am really enjoying myself. It has been a little hot, but not too bad. The people are very friendly, and the food is wonderful. It is amazing how many american stores and resturants that are here. Everything from Blockbuster and Pay Less Shoes, to Ace Hardware and of course, McDonalds. Of course these are all in the capital city of San Salvador. Once you leave the capital, you do not see any chain stores. It is almost like two different worlds between the capital, and the rest of the country where the poor reside.
I have been on the go since I got here, meeting people and seeing interesting places. I have been to the Pastoral Center for the Archdiocese and met with several offices. I have visited the church where Romero was assasinated, his home, and his tomb. Saturday I am scheduled to meet his brother Arnoldo Romero. I am very excited about that. I have been to several beautiful churches including the cathedral. I am also supposed to go on national radio, which I have prepared a small speech, as not to get nervous and forget what I want to say.
I have been assisting Father Edgardo at masses, and actually got to get up during mass and talk to the congregation in my limited spanish, about 100 people strong. I met a Salvadoran who has been living in Ogden Utah for the last 16 years, and is now a U.S. citizen. He came back to visit a sick friend.
I have much more, but too much for an email. I will look forward to seeing everyone when I get back, and telling you a little more about the experiences here in El Salvaor.
Many Blessings,
Michael (Miguel)
Prayers up.
