The notion that the Holy Father considers it his mission to canonize Pope Pius XII is telling and interesting to me. Does this mean he does not think he is the Pope that will consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart? In order of importance Pope Pius XII's case is a bit further down the line in importance. "He" has never claimed the consecration has been done, only underlings, who's motives are suspect. Could it be he knows he is not the one heaven intends to fulfill this command? The whole failure to respond to Our Lady's request since 1960 reminds me of Moses in the desert hesitating to strike the rock. Moses was denied permission to cross the Jordan and enter into the promised land. Could this be a lesson for the Holy Father (and all us as well) as we proceed toward the Tribulation?

His focus on Pope Pius XII has an odd note to it as well. I have always considered WWII an event of biblical significance, largely due to the Holocaust. This event is a giant reason for the formation of the modern state of Israel. In addition the focus on Pope Pius XII is shaping up to be centered on his aid and comfort to the Jews (or lack thereof if you dislike PPXII). If he is canonized will he be a patron saint of Jewish converts? Does this mean the old prophecy of Saint Paul moves one step closer to fruition?

What are you referring to? Refresh my memory.

The Jews will convert in the end. I believe this is the main reason they have proven a remarkably resistant group while pagans of every stripe have willingly converted. All the more amazing due to their minority status. I think it is so as a sign. Scripture says it will happen in the end so it has not been God's providence to grant that grace. I also think this is one of the reason for antisemitism. It must happen and if Satan can not destroy Christ's Church there is another way to foil God's plan. If you can't kill the Christians you can kill the Jews. I think nothing amuses him more than when Catholics and Jews are at each others throats.

Oh yes I forgot to mention this prediction by the Apostle is a favorite with Evangelical and Fundamental Protestants. Almost all with a strong missionary policy have teams in Israel doing their best to be the ones who fulfill the prophecy. Boy are they going to be surprised when they go Catholic.
