Lucia was promised that she would "see the biginning of the end"..........this is usually understood to mean of the promised chastisements/consequences of Fatima.

If that is so.........and she has actually died.......this measn that things will now speed up.

BUT BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES!!!

My thoughts also. She lived to see the tsunami disaster. I'm afraid for what is next.

Very interesting post - thank you! We do indeed live in the period of gross spiritual blindness - teh diabolical disorientation of the mind, as promised by Mary at Fatima.

I don't want to trouble you too much, but where did you read that Lucia was promised to "see the beginning of the end?"

Don't call the Holy Father an apostate! You may not agree with him on many things, but that doesn't mean he is an apostate. In fact, many theologians believe that the primacy of Peter means that the Pope can never be an apostate.

He has managed to worship with almost every false religion on the planet.

He has denied numerous tenets of the Faith while attempting to bring all those still faithful into his heresies.

If it waddles like a duck, and quacks like a duck,....

Let's save this debate for another thread because this one is too important to get pulled.

You beat me to the punch!

All of the Fatima apparitions occured on the 13th of the month. May 13th was the first, and October 13th was the last - the day of the Miracle of the Sun.

It is interesting that Our Lady chose the 13th......as 13 is a "sacred number" in the occult. In doing so, she was bascily kicking th Devil in the behind - and putting those in his service on notice that she would triumph over him, as Scripture foretold.

At what hour did she die - does anyone know this?

She died at 5pm 02/13/05 in her convent in Portugal.

It's also the First Sunday of Lent...

She was not merely the last witness, but the key witness and the scribe for the secrets, particularly the last, which remains so controversial - thanks to Cardinal Ratzinger's very strange and foolishly contradictory document on the matter (it was as if the 'analysis' were written by those who were told that facsimiles of the 'original' notes (assuming) would never be made public; yet they were, along with Ratzinger's 'analysis').

I believe Gruner attempted to clarify her supposed clarifications. She apparently was said to have dismissed his entire effort, all he was doing, etc, when she may have said or indicated nothing of the sort. This is bigger than one person, however. If she was manipulated or misrepresented in her later years, then that's the shame of those clerics and posers who did so - who have much to answer for in the next life, surely. But Our Blessed Mother appeared to these children, not to others. And she appeared to Sister Lucy more than the others. So Sister Lucy was chosen by God, because Our Blessed Lady in that way is still the handmaid of God, not to produce Revelation, as in the Apostolic Age, but to clarify it with prophecy when the time had come, perhaps. These are pleas and reminders to do the right thing, particularly to pray the 15-decade Rosary (specifically NOT RVM). We haven't. And we still don't know.

As of now, I don't see anything on his fatima.org website, however.

Yes, I've been watching the news not have not seen a thing yet - hopefully we'll get confirmation soon but at the moment, it seems she is in heaven.

As far as Fr. Gruner is concerned, I believe he is way off base and is most likely the enemy.

His 3 inch thick book on the third secret is only one testament that he's not one of the good guys.

This story could be not true for some coverup.

I Agree. VERY strange IMHO that there is nothing about it on CNN.

Yes it is the 1st Sunday in Lent.........but 5PM Eastern time...........? Or at noon in Portugal????

How did this blind and deaf nonagenarian communicate to Mel Gibson at his recent meeting with her? I do no know of too many at advanced ages who can readily learn a new language (deaf sign...braille).......much less use it to communicate complex ideas.

Something smells.
