Excellent article. Bookmarked! This should be required reading by all parents. Confirmation is indeed the Sacrament of Strengthening
Sadly, the misunderstanding of this great sacrament have befuddled the minds of parents and youth alike. We need the graces and gifts of the Holy Spirit to fend off the adversaries, especially those communicated to us in a secular society. How unfortunate that many dioceses have prolonged this sacrament to the teen years, and made it a "choice". The Eastern Churches have returned to infant chrismation, strengthening the child from birth.
