ROME: TEMPLARS, CAPITAL TO HOST RELIGIONS PARLIAMENT
(AGI) - Rome, Italy, May 7 - Rome will host the religions' Parliament, revealed the Grand Master of the Templars, Francesco Dario Labbate, who on Monday, May 15, will appoint 600 new templar knights in the S. Prisca all'Aventino church. The S. Cecilia choir will sing Gregorian chants. Among the knighted there are important American and Chinese financial people as well as exponents of the Ethiopian Royal House. The Templar order intends to promote the birth of a Religions Parliament in Rome to pay homage to the religious ecumenism work preached by His Holiness John Paul II. In Rome in 2007 a moment of multireligious prayer will be organized called "Pax homininibus orbis in paci". 300 million dollars will be donated by American, Jewish, Chinese and Arabic foundations to carry out these initiatives. There are still Templars?
NeoTemplars, no doubt. I can't imagine these types taking the vows of celibacy and such the orginals took. Plus they were supressed pretty effectively....
Well the Templars in Spain and Portugal continued but they changed their name and or merged with other knightly orders - so where did these modern "Templars" come from?
Wannabee new-agers....
I''ll believe in real
"Templars" when one gets ZOTTED
but the Kitties are
unable to ban
their account. A real "Templar"
would survive a ZOT!
Neo-Templars chartered by the Catholic Church?
I doubt it highly...
Templars were basically monks who fought...or knights who chose to live like monks...not supermen.
I thought they were like the modern Knights of Malta/St.John in the "buy a noble title" sense.
Never heard of this religions' parliament business though. Sounds creepy.
Ditto.
That's what I think, too. Probably inspired by Dan Brown and dedicated to the URI (United Religions Iniciative, the spawn of the aptly named Episcopal Bishop Swing of SF).
Templars? I thought they were wiped out centuries ago. Don't you mean Jedi????
hmm....Simon Templar, anyone?
Thanks...I was resisting.
Well, yeah, but that was
generations ago. Now
they're supposed to be
global bankers who
run all computer systems
and wear bitchin' suits . . .
Jedi?! You're joking!
Sith rule, Jedi drool. Lucas
is just a Sith tool!!!
How can you resist, the man is a Saint I tell you!
bet they have some spiffy outfits though...
Spiffy outfits do not a religious order make....
