My sister in law, a lovely young woman, mother of three of three young children and wife of my brother has been diagnosed with a rare form of lung cancer. She will undergo surgery to remove the entire right lung with in a week. At this early stage, we are uncertain of any long term prognosis.
Please, please keep her and her family in her prayers.

O holy Father, heavenly Physician of our souls and bodies, who hast sent thine Only-begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ to heal all our ailments and deliver us from death: do thou visit and heal thy servant, granting her release from pain and restoration to health and vigor, that she may give thanks unto thee and bless thy holy Name, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.

I don't know what kind of lung cancer she has, but I know a women who had a lung removed because of cancer and has lived for many years in remission.
I will pray for your sister-in-law and her family. I too had a friend who had lung cancer and had her lung removed at the age of 35,she was alive and doing fine at 54 and cancer free.
How wonderful to hear that others have endured the same procedure and that they are alive and healthy today.
I pray mightily that it may go as well with your sister-in-law.
Prayers as offered up for her, her family, you and your family, and all others who love her.

every crisis we have is known to you,

husband facing the fear of what might be,
children in need of both parents.

Guide the hands of the doctors who treat her,
strengthen her heart and soul,
give them all the ability to deal with what is in their future,

heal their souls, and if you will, her body,
and in the end,
at its proper time,
bring them all to be with you.
