Vatican Rejects 10 Boston Parish Appeals

The Vatican has rejected the appeals of 10 parishes in the Boston Archdiocese that had petitioned to remain open after being shuttered as part of Archbishop Sean P. O'Malley's reconfiguration plan.

O'Malley announced in January 2004 plans to close more than 80 parishes in response to a decline in the number of priests, changing demographics, and financial troubles brought on in part by the clergy sex abuse scandal.

"We appreciate the disappointment that this news brings to those who submitted the appeals and all who are saddened by the parish closings," O'Malley said in a statement Saturday.

The Council of Parishes, a coalition that includes eight of the parishes that lost appeals, plans to weigh its options, which could include further appeals to the Vatican, said co-chairman Peter Borre. The group also discussed filing a lawsuit in civil court.

While many parishioners expected the rejections, they were surprised by the timing.

"We had no idea this was coming from the Vatican, especially not on a Saturday," said parishioner Jackie Lemmerhirt, who has participated in a round-the-clock vigil at St. Jeremiah, one of the parishes that appealed.

Notice how the Vatican is mum on selling off any part of their $66 BILLION in hospital assets in the good-'ole-USA to cover their sin of enabling the degenerates to feast upon the innocent.

Pray tell how it is possible for B16 to look any American Roman Catholic in the eye, when his satanic minions deliberately pass on the suffering and financial loss caused by the degenerates he protects?

Who is made to pay for, and suffer loss for this horrific sin?

The faithful.

Dear God have mercy upon us.

You are not a part of the Body of Christ. Were you part of the Body of Christ you would rejoice when other members of the Body of Christ engaged in acts of vitrue and you would suffer when other members of the Body of Christ commited vice.

You are a modern day Donatist in thinking you can seperate from sinners in the Body of Christ and find refuge in a "pure" schism.

Nobody likes paying these debts and everyone universally condemns the homosexual abuse but that is the reality of Mysterium Iniquitatis for the Church Militant in our pilgrimmage back home.

Now, go feel superior amongst your co-deserters who left the field of battle during a time of war and curse and insult the Vicar of Christ and march under the schismatic banner of the "army" opposed to Jesus and His Church.

Is THAT really necessary?! How Catholic that would be to sue you own parent...and before a pagan court no less.

Is it a coincidence that the most morally liberal areas seem to be the ones under the gun so to speak -going bankrupt, selling assets, and closing Churches? Hmmm...

Almost along the lines of reap what is sown -sow the wind, reap the whirlwind... It would appear the "problems" will take care of themselves regardless how much we think we can control things -regardless how much [we] wish things to appear okay and continue -that which underlies the surface whether good or bad has an effect that eventually can never be ignored. It is sad that the good must suffer because of the bad...

"You are not a part of the Body of Christ."

Pretty heady words for someone not sitting on the Chair of Peter.

Bearing false witness obviously has no place in your respect for the Ten Commandments.

Although this kind of dodge and bait is very typical of the defenseless in standing for a shell of spirituality.

If you had the ability to argue the point I raised, relative to the decision by the arrogant pretenders to take away the assets of local parishioners (their churches), while clutching to their cancerous breasts, the very real assets they would prefer we not know about.

Attempting to protecting evil, with a cheap unrelated shot at me does not relieve them of their deceitful actions against those purposely kept ignorant about the real wealth of the American Catholic Church. But then you likely are among those who enjoy watching the faithful get screwed yet a second time by those in the Vatican who walk with Satan.

I won't presume to judge who is a Christian or who isn't, but surely it's an egregious and tasteless action, perhaps even a sacrilege, to malign and ridicule the Holy Father, especially when you yourself are not "arguing the point" but rather simply indulging in histrionics to make your claim. Yet you seemingly expect others to accept not only your position, but your disrespectful and offensive tone. I was really shocked by the vile accusations in RD's post. I'm not saying the Pope is perfect, but certainly we cannot read his mind or judge his motivations, nor should we ever attempt to do so as it's impossible and leads to dissension and misunderstandings.

Pray tell what is vile about pointing out to one and all the demonic soiling of the Vatican?

It was at last their choice to save the churches of the faithful by dipping into their poorly hidden hospital systems goldmine. In their pompous arrogance, and finding no fault in their collusionary sin in their role as enablers for the degenerates guised in the cloth of God.

Whenever a flag was waived, the killers of innocence would be swept off to another parish to continue the rape of young boys.

Here, those pretentious princes have decided to financially rape the American faithful, rather than dip into its bags of gold held held by its multi-billion hospital system.
